This gold standard for player driven RPGs going forward. The amount of quality content per dollar in staggering when it comes to Baldur's Gate 3. Voice acting, world building, character design, combat experience. Everything is top notch. Borderline perfect game. One of the only few moments of criticism is I wish the quest tracker was a bit better and there's just SO much content in Act 3 that it can feel a bit overwhelming at first. Other than that this is a must play for any person who enjoys RPGs.

One day I'll beat this game and stop just starting over from the beginning.

I don't know if this game is fun or not to be honest. It's a game and I enjoyed playing it? But I'm not sure why. Music is a banger though.

After the fixes it's definitely worth playing now. Performance can still be a bit lackluster even on good PCs but not too bad anymore.

Newer songs are over priced but you can just mod the game. Probably one of the best VR experiences.

GOOD ASS GAMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

---{ Graphics }---
The game is beautiful. Like super beautiful. Like OMG why is this game so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pretty. Meanwhile most bosses look like disgusting abominations that will haunt your dreams. If you can run it on max settings, enjoy how pretty the game looks.

---{ Audio }---
The soundtrack is like an orgasm for your ears. Enjoy every bit of it and then listen to it on youtube later.

---{ Difficulty }---
This is my first soulslike game ever so I have no experience with something like this but I found the game a lot easier than I had previously thought. The game is as easy or as hard as you make it however. You want to go using colossal swords and no spirit ashes? Go ahead and enjoy the game on hard mode. You want to use Arcane or Faith and just run through all the content? Enjoy game on normal or easy.

---{ Grind }---
The game doesn't actually require any grinding. You're free to do it if you want but if you get stuck on a boss, you're better off just exploring somewhere else and fighting other bosses in the meantime.

---{ Story }---
This is the part where I'm probably divided with a lot of players. I think the story for Elden Ring is incredible. So much world building and lore. There is so much to learn if you seek it out.

BUT
I think the story telling is NOT good. The vast majority of what I've learned has solely come from youtube videos and reddit posts. I know that this isn't a JRPG with 10 hours of cutscenes, but a bit more could have fleshed things out more. I often didn't understand where characters lied in relation to the story or even what their motivations were. Coupled with the fact that the name scheme that GRRM came up with is god awful to the point where characters names are so similar it just sounds like I'm saying the same name with an accent. It's bad.

---{PC port}---
The game looks so dam good if you can run it properly on PC with max settings. I haven't been this blown away by the way a game looks since I've played something like Skyrim 11 years ago for the first time. But holy moly is the PC performance not great at times. I have a better GPU than the vast majority of people on steam according to Valve and there was many times where the games FPS would just drop drastically, and in a game where dodging is vital to living, that is very bad. Admittedly it has gotten a lot better since the launch of the game, but it can get even better. As I've never played any other souls game, I don't know their usual quality of PC ports but this is certainly not the best work I've ever seen. (Something like God of War is a near perfect PC port that every company should look at)

---{Misc}---
I wish the cursor on the map moved faster.
I hate that certain weapons or abilities are nerfed for single player even though the only reason they are is because of multiplayer. Makes me wish that the nerfed stats were only active when multiplayer was initiated.
I think that colossal swords need a buff. They look so cool but dam they're so much worse than every other weapon in the game it just feels bad using them.
Enemies like dragons or the final boss move too much for melee builds, making them more frustratingly annoying as opposed to hard.
Allow layered armor into the game. I have so many cool armor sets that will just sit in my inventory collecting dust because there is simply no point in every using them over some late game armors or armors that add stats.
An indicator on the map that a dungeon's boss has been cleared would be nice. Sometimes I forget if I've cleared a boss in a dungeon only to run through it completely and having already finished it.

---{Overall}---
I'd give the game a 9. Everything just meshed so well together to create a really fun time for my first souls like game and I had a lot of fun. Probably going to 100% it soon though 2 achievements are locked behind alternate endings. If the PC performance was better, some storytelling bits were more readily accessible, and some minor things were tweaked this would be a 10 for me. A game everyone should get even if normally souls like games aren't your thing. Very accessible.
