A dude sells you a mediocre pair of shoes. They start falling apart quickly. Then another guy comes along and not only fixes your shoes, but makes them better and doesn't charge you. Then the guy who originally made the shoes is like "you need to pay me for that other guy fixing your shoes."

That's paid mods.

This is the best, most replayable, most dynamic co-op shooter ever no contest.

The devs have been rock-solid in their commitment to pro-consumer behaviour. All expansions and content updates are free. The battlepasses are all free, not time-gated, and past battlepasses/seasons are available to play at any time. All paid DLC is cosmetic only and there is no way to buy power or progression.

Do yourself a favor and buy it already.

Elden Ring is the crystallization of everything FromSoftware has learned in the past 10+ years of making souls-like games. Everything good and next to none of the bad has been stuffed into a gigantic and breathtaking open world that you could spend hundreds of hours exploring and still not see everything there is to see.

Massive open world, huge enemy and boss variety, myriad secrets to uncover and fantastic visuals to boot. If you've enjoyed any of the Dark Souls games or Bloodborne, or have any interest in the genre, this is the one to try.

The BEST controller I ever owned. No really. Once you figure out the configuration menus you can make it work for ANY game.

Came for the waifus. Stayed for the intrigue. Then bought the DLC because the devs deserve it.
