Never mind, I can't stand this game. It's just...not fun. It's competitive style of get the best time, best style, most kills, all with a game that promotes full aggression over survival is just...I can't stand it. It's not fun, it's not enjoyable, it's depressing the hell out of me, and I don't want to play this anymore. The lower difficulties just make me feel like trash that I can't get any better at the higher difficulties, and the need to replay the same exact level, over and over and over and over and OVER just to improve is just...I don't enjoy it. 3/10, ♥♥♥♥ this game.

Old Review:
So I tried this game because I like Dusk, I like New Blood Games, and I heard so much about this game because of all the memes and videos on it online, but it's just...not the masterpiece people say it is. And it mainly has to do with the skill based game. Having your game be skill based isn't bad, in fact it can be wonderful to see yourself improve and feel the thrill of killing thousands of enemies without even flinching. When you become a powerhouse, Ultrakill makes you FEEL like a powerhouse. Like you actually WORKED for it. But the problem is the expectation. If you wanted a game that made you feel like a powerhouse in only a week or two, after putting in maybe 1 or 2 hours every day because that's the only free time you have, this isn't the game for you. The game is extremely unforgiving on those who don't dedicate a lot of time to mastering the mechanics, and the problem is not everyone has the time to pour hours into a game just so they can beat a boss just at a survival level (living with like 2 HP to spare). Much less if you want to beat a boss in less than 2 seconds like a lot of the videos on Youtube are showing. If that's what you wanna do and you have the time, by all means, you're entitled to that. Hell I will encourage you to spend your time that way. But if you just wanna feel powerful, stress free, don't buy this. It DOES have an assist mode that can let you take anywhere from full damage to 0% damage, and even slow down the game to 50% speed, but when I did that I felt so worthless, like I wouldn't amount to anything, and even if the game doesn't mock you for doing this, it DOES prevent you from doing Perfect ranks, which actually DO unlock things if you get them all. Just....be wary.
