Early Access Review
For an early access game that is Paragon's successor, I think this MOBA is impressive and has potential so far.
--The graphics are pretty good and I don't feel a need to trade high settings for frames like I do for other games. The visuals of the map are nice and the map design feels good IMO.
--The micro-mechanics of the game feel smooth for the different characters I've played thus far. Executing combos feels fluid and you can customize your cast settings for abilities and item use.
--I appreciate the idea of the crest system that you evolve throughout the game as this forces you to plan ahead and think about your build and team comps. I also enjoy the ability to pick from 7 different crests that will have late game benefits and don't take an item slot vs. a few starting items (i.e. Doran's Ring, Blade, Shield from LoL) that take up an item slot and are sold later.
----The 7 different crests provide flexibility on how you want to play your hero and yield even further build customization via 1 of 3 evolved crests of that crest type (i.e. Mage crest start gives mana on hero damage or unit kill. Later evolves into stasis active, shield/magic life steal/MS active, or a MS/teleport-like active).

The issues I've had so far are the communication system, role swapping, and hero variety.
--Utilizing pings in Predecessor feels very clunky and slow to narrow down what ping message you want to send. It also is difficult to specify where you want to ping. So far I've defaulted to just using the quick ping on my MMB and attempting to aim where I want the ping. It's painful and not ideal for pings across-map, but that's been the easiest for me.
--Role swapping is very rigid compared to other MOBAs. If you are in any of the roles except jungle, you can technically swap by just picking your hero and going to that lane (after communicating/agreeing with your teammate first), but there isn't a physical option to initiate a formal role swap. The jungle role auto-assigns smite and you are unable to change it as well. So, if you get filled jungle and you don't want that role, sucks to suck, but you're options are to A) Play that role or B) dodge the game. This usually encourages dodging.
----Along with role swapping, there isn't any way to swap pick order or even swap heroes with others. This is super beneficial if you're in a group and want to communicate picks and counter-picks.
--Hero variety feels like multiple characters were copied off of other MOBAs, such as League of Legends (i.e. Zarus = Pantheon), for both similar visual appearance and kit design. There are differences, but some feel a little unoriginal. Granted, I'm coming from LoL which has over 150 champs compared to Predecessor's 33 heroes. **However**, that being said, I've enjoyed the current heroes thus far and not noticed and negatives or flaws with them.

Overall, I've found the game refreshing and I would recommend it. Looking forward to future plans and hopefully quality of life balances and fixes.
