Predecessor is a great team-based MOBA. It uniquely has a 3rd-person shooter feel to it. A good MOBA to start with in my opinion if you are generally into 1st or 3rd-person shooters.

Inscryption is a rogue-lite deck-building game. If you are at all a fan of card games such as Magic :The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, or Hearthstone, you will enjoy this game. The less you know about it, the better.

Pros:
Combat is flashy and cinematic
Visuals look great on my potato machine
Matches are quick (~5 min)
Play as your favorite FF Heroes and Villains
Music is outstanding

Cons:
Peer2Peer (this is why ppl complain about lag)
Fixed framerate
Queue times can be long
Characters are locked behind paywalls
Minor crashing

Honestly, I'm having a lot of fun playing this game. It absolutely has its pros and cons, but overall this game is a fun and rewarding experience (when there's no lag or DCing). The game crashed 2 times so far, but that was only during matchmaking, which is likely because I was matched with someone halfway across the planet. I'm hoping this game becomes more F2P friendly in the future (able to unlock characters in-game), as well as gets dedicated servers. Since the game is free, I recommend trying it out and seeing if you like it. I know I did. Kupo.

If you liked FTL, you'll like this. Saying this game is like chess has some merit, but if you do not like chess I believe you nevertheless will enjoy this game. I'm not much of a chess player, but I can see the parallels it has with Into the Breach, such as moving pieces around a gameboard and taking your time to figure out optimal plays. This game is for people who enjoy figuring things out. It's a rewarding strategy game that makes the player feel accomplished after they complete a challenging mission. For that sense of accomplishment alone, I'd say this game is worth it.

I picked up Darkest Dungeon during early access and I've followed it throughout its many content updates and patches. This game can best be described as an emotional rollercoaster. Your favorite hero who you named after your dog might get hit with a critical and on their next turn bleed to death. Or, you finish a long, hard dungeon with every member of your team surviving, and you can bask in the wealth you've obtained. Ultimately, it's up to you to decide whether it's worth either of those thing to happen. You can retreat from combat and fail the mission, but live to see another day. Your choice.
