Everyone at one point or another has wanted to be the hero (or villian) in their own Western novel.

This game lets you achieve that.

Be whatever kind of Lawman you want to be. You will certainly not lack for options.

It may be because, I never really got into the Pirate Genre, it might be because there is no failing in the game. Or maybe the story wasn''t as well wrtitten as it could have been...

But Tin Star was much, much better.

Only my second review gamers...please hang in there.

I was a tempory Lookout in Northern California for a while and I have to say...this game is infinitly more interesting then that post.

I love this game. Its very easy to look at and silky smooth and almost entirely bug free. With about 5 hours of gameplay (yes not very long, but hang on) I only found 1 bug that wasn't even immersion killing.

You are a dude named Henry...but Henry in my opinion is really just you (the player) Life unfortunatly gets really complicated for you, complicated and messy. So to get your bearings back, get your mind reset and maybe find a little piece of serenity in the process, you get a new source of income working for the United States Forest Services as a Lookout. Stop for a minute.

Notice how there is a lack of info about Henry? Almost as if its leaving you (the player) to fill in some blanks for yourself. Yes he has a name and a face. But he is pretty much you, you need to put yourself in the big boots of Henry to see where the game is going.

The game will make you laugh, make you think, maybe make you a little teary eyed if your the type. And at times its pretty creepy. It really makes you think about things. A lot of people complain because the ending leaves too much unawnsered. Well that's the cool part about Henry really being you. Its your problem to fill in the blanks. Games can't hold your hand all the time, sometimes you have to find your own meaning to things and make sense as best you can. If you can't do that, this game simply isn't for you. Explain it your own way. I would love to write a much more in depth review of this game, and maybe I will but you should play it and draw up your own review. After all its your life and your responsibility to find meaning and closure to events in your life.

Is it short? Yes but its very filling. Should you wait tell it comes on sale? You can if you want, I did, but I would have no problem paying full price for it.

10/10 would get accused of stealing womens panties again...(play the game...you'll figure it out)

My first review (and only because the game so kindly asked me too) do please be kind,

I've been playing Verdun since the Beta was a new release and free on Steam, when there was only two squads total to pick from. Verdun has come a long way since then and it pleases me to see that they will go further with more weapons, squads, and maps.

Verdun is not a twitch shooter and is not a run and gun game. It is a game where keeping crouched in a trench and prone out in nomansland is not only recomended but neccesary to advance more then 10 yards. Verdun is a very unforgiving game and it will punish new players until they learn that this is a different sort of FPS. I see a lot of negative in game comments complaining of missing a target or picked off by an unseen sharpshooter or failed mass charges and spamed arty barrages. All of which I say man up and get over it. Its World War 1 and nothing more and certainly nothing less. Hour long games can easily end in stalemates instead of clear victories.

Communication and teamwork are vital to gaining ground and a awesome K/D isn't important to winning a match (unless you play on attrition) Verdun is brutal and holds nothing back, its unforgivingly hard and often seems unfair, but again that was the 1st World War where a Division sized force would advance approximetly 10 yards over the course of six months. Everything from the Phosgene and Chlorine gas attacks to relentless arty strikes can make or break a victory.

It will kick your ass one match...and make you feel like a bad ass war hero the next. A skilled Lewis Machine Gunner can shatter a coordinated German attack until a ever watchful sniper can draw a bead, a Canadian Raider armed with nothing but a few grenades and a club can infiltrate a trench and blugeon a German NCO calling in artillery to death. The line between killing and being killed is very fine. It forces you to play creatively but carefully too and it can easily make you realize the futility and hopelessness of everything about it.

It is a hard game...and that's why I love it.

Hope this review helps.
