Edit after actually playing the game for a little bit:

This is not a $70 game. This is a $40 game in every metric that isn't graphics. I'm ignoring the obvious performance issues that i'm sure you have heard about since i assume those will be fixed eventually, but at its core this is really not a AAA game. It feels like a AA game with the hype and marketing of a AAA game. The combat is surprisingly awful since that was a pretty big selling point. So far the bosses, or at least the "elite" enemies you can find in the world or attack you sometimes, are incredibly lackluster. In the end, everything can be beaten just by spamming your attack button, even if there are more clever ways to take them down. While it may be cool to push its legs and topple over an ogre and go to town on it, it is far quicker to just spam the attack button until its dead. Again, it feels like the devs bit off more than they could chew and there are a few "wow that's interesting" moments the first time something happens but after that first time its just mash button until dead. Everything about this game feels clunky. The combat is very clunky, the world traversal is clunky, the general feeling you get while playing the game is "this doesn't feel very polished" (not in terms of optimization, but in gameplay). Problems like these are core to the game and probably wont be change with future updates very much, so for now I have gotta say that this just is not worth it until its down to at least $40.

This game is a meme that everyone on the internet is in on and you aren't. Don't let them waste your money as part of a joke. The only thing I can think to describe this is "unfun". Its not necessarily boring, its literally just unfun. You run around plowing through enemies while cartoon noises play. If you are feeling up for it maybe you can try again and run around plowing through enemies while cartoon noises play slightly faster than the time before. That is the entire game. For $20. It may be appealing to some people, but $20 for this feels like a scam when you could pay the same for Cuphead, Hollow Knight, Ori, or Dead Cells and not feel like you wasted your money. Don't listen to these people huffing as much copium as they can convincing themselves that this was even remotely a GOTY contender in any category.

The first negative review I have made on steam in 11 years, and while I hate to do this since I've been looking forward to it for such a long time, this game was not ready for early access, and that is saying something. The fps issues aren't as bad as I think people are making them out to be, but i can't go more than half an hour with a game breaking bug. In a few months when there are some changes ill probably change this to a positive review, but right now you are far better off playing the first game if you have a KSP itch.

I'd easily pay $20 to play this game for the first time again. While very short, every second feels new and amazing, and instills a sense of childlike wonder. A really beautiful and imaginative game.

My time playing this game wont be reflected because I played through the first section by "different means." After playing through the first section, I went and bought the whole season.
This game is basically the elements of the walking dead, set to tumblr mode. The way things are set up are very clever in design, allowing you to change your actions and go through a scenario with new information. For this type of game, I was happy with the ability to explore your environment, and felt very open for a linear game.
Overall I really enjoyed it and can't wait for the next episodes to release.
