It's absolutely fantastic! Never played Turok games before, yes yes I know, shoot me! But I never was a console gamer so I missed sweet gems like Turok. Gotta admit, I'm old-school to the core and love maze levels but levels in this game are some next level ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! They are complicated as hell but also fun as hell! Shooting and going around the game world is so satisfying, nightdive yet again did an incredible job on the remaster, and God, thank you for allowing us to crank that FOV slider up, playing at 120 FOV is so cool.

Honestly, looking at the gameplay videos I thought I'd like Turok 2 more than Turok 1, but I think i prefer T1 lol, solely based on the complexity of the levels, again, levels are hardcore in Turok 2! But I love it! Amazing game 10/10.

It's very fast and competitive, feels responsive and fast, I do recommend this. If you're looking for a casual experience I'd skip this one as even the 'arcade mode' (which is supposed to be casual) is very punishing. The best way to describe this would be a mixture of CS and COD.

Absolutely fantastic! The way a remake should be done! It's smooth, it's responsive and it feels damn good. Haven't had any issues whatsoever with this version of the game, the only thing that annoys me right now is that the steam overlay doesn't work so I can't take screenshots.

But seriously, the amount of options this remake offers is absolutely amazing! I'm playing it with the 'full 3D' option with the field of view of 110, and God does it look good and is smooth and FAST. It's a joy to play this game all over again. Well done!

As for the game itself, I'm not gonna write anything about it, if you never heard of Blood and how awesome it is then you've been probably living under a rock, this is one of the finest old-school FPS games there is with one of the most unique themes and art styles ever, I dare to say... Even better art style than Quake 1 and I love the lovecraftian atmosphere in that game. Let's just say Blood rocks in every way possible there is!

This remaster is perfect! I'm more of a DS2 guy and never really got into DS1 so much due to that atrocious port from 2011 and never played these games on consoles. But now with this remaster, omg the game runs PERFECTLY like DS2 and I enjoy it so much, it's truly a masterpiece. Worth every penny, the game rocks!

Long review? Oh man, where do I even start? This game is perfect. If you are that old school 90's early 00's FPS fan, then this game is a MUST HAVE for you. Seriously, playing through this marvelous game made me feel like I'm playing some 90's classic shooter gem I somehow missed playing back in the day, it's just that good and true to that old school feel.

Even if you are a newer generation gamer I think you should get this amazing game and try it out, trust me, it'll feel refreshing after playing all those new 'let me hold your hand' games.

Gunplay feels so satisfying, the levels are so well made, enemies are very interesting and memorable, you can bunny-hop, you can speed-run it if you wish, art style is truly amazing (and you can customize this to your liking, make it look more modern or more old-school like).

It's truly a masterpiece, easily game of the year material and a lot of love has gone into this, you can just tell. Just get this game already! And enjoy it!

I don't think people are right when writing this off as just some generic shooter garbage. It's definitely not garbage, generic maybe, but the game never tried to be anything more than that, so it's fair game. It never claimed to be anything revolutionary, it's just a FPS game that's there to entertain you.

And I must say, it's definitely entertaining and worth the money... Especially if you get it on sale. I do have half an hour only right now, that's because I'm tired as fu.ck and haven't slept for 36 hours but I'll definitely play more later and definitely beat it.

The story is generic, it looks generic but it's fun as hell. The shooting is satisfying, very comparable to Bulletstorm and the thing that differentiates this game from the other shooters and Bulletstorm for that matter is its difficulty. It's hardcore as hell! So if you're a real man who loves FPS games, is looking for a challenge, this game is definitely for you, it will absolutely destroy you if you play it on the hardest difficulty.

I recommend it, honestly it's fun, good time killer, it's responsive, hard, challenging, the design is interesting (I get a crazy Quake 4 vibe from this) though everything being gray can get old I gotta say. I say get it, 20 bucks ain't gonna break you if you don't like it, plus it's on sale right now for 1,99.

I'll keep this review mostly about BFG vs Vanilla Doom 3, if you're interested about my opinion on doom 3 you can check my profile for the review of that particular game, in short I freakin' love DOOM 3, to me it's a perfect game, love the atmosphere, the gunplay, the horror elements mixed with a lot of action, it's just so perfect.

Anyways, I do recommend this version of DOOM 3. It is a bit easier than the vanilla doom 3, there's more ammo and health packs scattered around the world and the shoulder-mounted flashlight makes the fights a lot easier and kinda takes away from the horror aspect of the game. Veteran is the difficulty I'd recommend in BFG edition most definitely, even Nightmare is manageable with all that health lying around.

Compared to the original DOOM 3 I gotta say, this DOOM 3 feels smoother, you can definitely feel it's modernized, it runs on a newer engine but the gameplay is the same. Actually, they might have increased the player movement speed slightly, maybe they haven't but it's just something I feel when playing this version. Sure DOOM 3 offers a lot of mods, which are visually better than the BFG edition, but the BFG edition feels... I dunno, really good when playing it, it's just very enjoyable. The performance and optimization is top notch.

It has a new mini-campaign called "the lost mission", which is a pretty cool campaign, well put together. There aren't any new additions when it comes to lost mission, like for example a new artifact or even enemies, but it's still pretty fun to play. Of course the BFG edition also contains the Resurrection of evil campaign which is classic.

It also has DOOM and DOOM II and an exclusive DOOM II expansion 'no rest for the living', which is pretty awesome.

All in all, I definitely recommend getting this, even if it's a bit casual when compared to the original DOOM 3. It's a great pack of great DOOM games and it feels great just having them all in one place and you can access them all with one click. Sure DOOM 3 has awesome mods, but BFG rivals it very well, it's just well put together. And hunting those achievements is also very fun!
