Bobs: one time i went to a comedy show that had about 8 people in the audience. it was a dark, dank, freezing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a bar and all of the comedians had maybe 2, 3 years experience tops

Bobs: none of the comedians garnered more than a couple of chuckles here and there. the night was mostly really awkward, with us in the audience just sitting there not wanting to leave out of politeness

Bobs: the headliner, determined to make us all laugh, despite the circumstances, started off really strong

Diego: but

Bobs: but needing to fill more time in order for us not to feel ripped off, his confidence tapered off and he got less and less funny over time

Diego: shame

Bobs: by the end of his set he got so desperate for laughs he spent nearly 10 minutes setting up a fart joke that i'm sure in his head was the most epic joke he could possibly tell

Bobs: his desperate energy was painfully obvious and when the joke inevitably fell flat (no pun intended), the show ended and everyone walked out, silent, like we had just concluded a funeral procession
