Is exactly what it says on the box. And boy is that concept fun.
With a ton of interesting cards and card combinations and different relics to supplement your run the game has an enormous amount of replayability. Furthermore there is an active community that creates mods for the game still increasing its replay value.

Pyre is hard to describe.
It's a mix between a visual novel and a sports game.
And yes, it does sound really weird and it is. But not in a bad way.
Over the course of the game you'll learn about the people in your "team" that you are training/managing.
Each one of them has a backstory, that you'll be eager to learn and think about. Why these outcasts from the normal world have been sent to this place, where you have ended up as well.
That's the main focus of the game, yet it is only half of what you do.
During your voyage you will constantly challenge new foes to a three on three "Basketball-Magic-Game".
Which I also thought was a lot of fun. Yet what really made me love this game, was how believable the characters were (even though we are talking about a fantasy setting).
Adittionally the music really sets the mood and pairs well with the beautifully crafted locations you visit.
It really seems like a strange thing, when you try to explain it, but it works. It works really well.

Amazing gem of a game.
The game did nearly everything right:
It has amazing music
The art-style is really pleasing and fits the post-apocalyptic theme of the game
The story is touching and is supported by visuals und music likewise and is narrated really well.
The gameplay feels a bit clunky at the beginning, but after a while it's really fun as well.

I didn't really get into the story in this review which is to the fact, that I don't want to spoil anything about it.
Just play it yourself, it's totally worth it, i promise ;)
I mean, it's 4€. You can't do anything wrong with that to begin with.
