Terraria, but even more perfect.

Its fun.
A sonic game with a new formula. One that binds adventure, boost and open-world together.
Result: New type of fun that you can't find in Sonic Generations or Sonic Adventure 2.

Starbound - I guess its a pretty good game.
Definitely was a good game when it was still in alpha/beta, but has been slowly tainted by irrelevant content, by which i mean main quests, removal of summon-able bosses and basically anything that made Terraria and Minecraft fun, both of which are the inspiration for Starbound. Less on Minecraft, more on Terraria since the Founder of Chucklefish was originally part of Re-Logic.

If you're thinking on doing Vanilla, i'll say it straight. Don't. It's just plain ol' boring.
Just... Install Frackin' Universe and continue playing like that.
Other than the fact that vanilla is crappy, the modding community is there to support it.
Should you buy it? Meh, depends on your taste. But i do recommend at least trying it out.

Terraria is a very good enough. *cough* It may look like 2d Minecraft, but you'd be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ if you believed it was actually 2d Minecraft.
Terraria has more than 15 bosses, more than 300 enemies, and more than 400 different weapons. That alone is a lot and more than enough evidence that this is not some simple 2d Minecraft. If we include the class system, then the fun can begin.
This game has entertained me enough ever since it got released, up to 3000 hours of playtime.
Play it, it's fun. :)
Try out tmodloader aswell.
