*Minor Spoilers for the game*
As can be seen by the thumbs up above this review I do recommend this game (and think anyone reading this should play it), however after beating I do have a couple of critiques that I need to express and none of my friends have played this game. Lunacid's biggest draw to me, and probably most other people is the exploration. Wandering around strange, sometimes (most of the time) hostile environment, slowly piecing together the what and why of the areas you discover. It's great, but it also holds my biggest disappointment. I feel as though the secrets over the course of the game, diminished. For me, the most memorable secret was the original VHS secret. Picking up something so out of place, so early in the game; being left to wonder what it's purpose was, and to stumble across it in such a obscure place was a delight. Also the reward for complete that secret been a real game-play hint was awesome. I don't feel that any of the other secrets in the game really lived up to this first one which is sad because I saw so much potential in them. The example that keeps coming back to me is "the passage" (worded like that to avoid spoilers). Sure, it does promote more exploration and back-tracking, but most of the objectives felt very one and done. I didn't feel like I was looking at any over the old area under a new lens.
This has been a long winded way of say that I loved the game but wish that the was just few more hidden things to find.

Also you could cut the exp require for the scythe in half and it would perfect.
Sincerely as someone who accidentally had to do it twice.

Daniel Mullin, what the ♥♥♥♥ are you hiding I no that there is something underneath this game. I am going to tear this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ apart and find out exactly what you're hiding from me. I don't care how many games of Yugioh I have to play until I uncover it. I will not rest. I will not eat. I WILL NOT STOP, UNTIL I HAVE THIS GAME'S BALLS IN MY HANDS. I AM OBSESSED, OBSESSED I TELL YOU!

I give the game a 10/10: I'd buy physical cards if they were real.

Edit: I have gained the infinite knowledge uncovering the secrets of the game through the arg. The cosmos has opened in my minds eye and I understand all.
Still 10/10 hope that he does the endless mode he talked about

Beta Review:
This game in it's current state still has much potential. Right now I see this game as a similar story to Rainbow Six. While I do recommend it, this game had many flaws this game is in desperate need of a tutorial for new and returning players alike. Aside from the region locking I just want to list a few bugs I've experienced.
A. Certain regions don't seem to include all of the traversal equipment which wouldn't be such a big problem if it wasn't for point B
B. So regions have areas that unreachable because of the lack of traversal items. (i.e. floating island needing a sky whistle and being stuck in a dungeon without the climbing claws and being forced to teleport out)
C. Roads and rivers no longer have the same mapping algorithm don't really connect any two points like they did in the alpha.
I love cube world and I want to see it flourish but I feel that in it's current state people will end up dropping in it much sooner than the alpha. I'm keeping this review positive just to tell Wollay and Pixxie to keep up the great work... And for the love of god stop spawning my sky whistle in the middle of a lava lake with no platform.
Mods are the only salvation for this game anymore

Just but it and play it.
You won't regret it.
