Before I write this review, I would like to clarify afew things. I was introduced to this game about 6 months ago by a friend, and was never very hyped until the last few weeks. In the last 36 hours i have put 28 hours into this game, and will go on to put time into it.

One thing i have noticed in many of these reviews is that people who play the game get A: bored of the grind B:bored of similar planets C:mad at hellogames undeniably shady behavior

My Opinion
What i have found is this. this game is a game that will take time, for some, you will spend hours exploring a single planet, walking across deserts to grab at any resource you can find. In the beginning, you do grind quite a bit, but once you have gotten some resources, the grind becomes less noticeable, you begin to focus more on exploration, admiring, and your end goal of reaching the center of the universe.

Noticable Problems
Planets in the same system tend to be very similar, i was spawned in a system where every planet had no water.
animals in the same system tend to resemble each other.
the Game has a tendency to crash on computers that arent high spec. my laptop (high end alienware 17) runs the game fine, no fps drop, beautiful enviroments, etc. my friends hp laptop would not start the game, and crashed at the first intro screen showing the universe.

My Conclusion
The best way, and in many ways the only way to enjoy this game is to keep moving. i have never spent enough time on any of the planets i have been at to scan every life form and hit every waystation. I suggest gathering materiels, finding monoliths, then leaving to the planet. but to get the variety we all crave, it is best to travel to a seperate system asap.
