*Second Edit* Sony changed the requirements. I do think that speaks volumes, when they hear the consumer & actually care to make a change.
*Edit~ Don't change the terms of service after the time period we have to return the game. I would have never purchased this had I known they would pull this. I won't be buying from them anymore.*

Such a great time! I wish Fallout 76 would have taken a more similar route~ a group of friends, defending or fighting against a common enemy! So much fun! I kept thinking that while playing~ Great idea, let us band together & just have a great time with our friends or make new ones if you choose to.
While I think they could have explained some of the items a little better, most games now aren't great at it, so it's no worse than most that I see. I guess there is room for improvement there. For instance, Just looking at the shop itself feels a bit messy. I;m sure after a while I will get used to it, but, it would be nice if it were more intuitive.

^Update* A year out & these guys are still adding new features& experiences! I can't say enough good things about them! Every experience is beautiful & customizable! I said a year ago that I would love to sit in cherry blossom or peach blossom groves, I may not have gotten that, but, close to that, there's now one with trees & flowers & it's very beautiful! Sometimes I just put on an audiobook & sit in an experience with the narrator off on the experience, its awesome!
^Old Review*
Another great relaxation title from this developer! They don't even show all the cool things in the trailer! I can sit amidst a thunderstorm, have voice narration, or not. I can change the setting how I like to fit my mood! You can turn the different aspects of the sounds or illusions on or off, you can bring yourself closer in or zoomed out from the happenings.
Last night after trying all like 12 of the atmospheres out, I decided to just sit in a breathing tunnel of marbles, pull up my next episode of the drama im watching & pin it to the experience & just watched my show in the coolest atmosphere ever! I then just hung out in a thunderstorm and relaxed!
They have slots reserved for upcoming areas ~ I hope so much to be able to sit in cherry blossom or peach blossom groves at dawn. Eerie foggy early morning or evening (or even night) time in the swamp would be cool or sitting on a bridge looking at a city skyline ~ overlooking a castles large hedge maze, flower garden & fountain - I would gladly pay for dlc like these! I;m excited to see what they come up with!

Amazing game! The only issue I have had so far is I have a very stingy version of Scratch lol, he is not presenting me with a ball, even 237 hours in to my only game play! I would mention, I play with him every time I go to camp, maybe he finds me clingy? lol

One of my first experiences in a world that I can move in freely in VR. Most of the other ones at the point I had tried this one, had you in a fixed point, besides like that haunted mansion/asylum/circus one. I must have gotten it somewhere else? I see the release date is 2021? I remember using my DK2 with this one, I don't think I've had that one hooked up since the CV1's came out. I was SO excited when I first played it! I will always have a soft spot for Rifts Cave. It helped to grow my love for worlds made in VR. I don't think this game gets the recognition it deserves for being ahead of it's time.

New Thoughts
While I wish there was a star rating system on steam, rather than yes or no to recommend. I can recommend this game now, with stipulations. You will have to know, the game will be almost unbearable without fallout first, the subscription model. It is expensive imo & they would probably see more profits, if they took the price down a bit, leading to more subscriptions. There is still a great emphasis on keeping little to no items in safekeeping, without using a "mule", I don't want to use one, so, I don't. I think I shouldn't need to use a backdoor to hold a normal amount of end game items. However, since I started playing, they have made some adjustments, like adding an ammo storage & adding in a generator set that radiates electricity, rather than having to wire everywhere. You still have to wire for some items, but, careful placing helps.
All in all, I had lots of fun & lots of headaches playing. However, I think it's greatly improved from where it was. The pitt update wasn't my favorite, mostly because of things they have already changed & the atlantic city update was so much fun! I simp for saltwater sam lol

OLD REVIEW
I so badly want to recommend this game. I love fallout. I don't know what they are thinking with 76. I will probably play a little more, trying to like it and beating my head against the wall while doing so. the game is fun, I won't say it isn't, but you really feel like you're being griefed by Bethesda. They have these super weird weight restriction that make it really hard to play. You have to spend a bunch of points you don't want to spend on weight management. It's very annoying. I just don't get the reason for it. I understand they want to make money and they should, it's a business. However, for $14 a month, beyond the cost of the game, I shouldn't feel like im getting trolled by them. It's hard to find the resources to upgrade or even keep guns or armor repaired, you're always needing more of certain items that you can get & then of course you have to buy items with caps, which i'm guessing they are figuring they want to make money? Also there's been things on the market I would have totally bought if it weren't in a bundle, just individual. Nope, in a bundle or you don't get it? Bethesda could have totally had a bunch of my atoms over the past few weeks had they not locked items behind bundles. Quite a few things I liked and would have happily purchased. I think they, think, we will just spend more to get the whole bundle for one or two items, not thinking they will probably actually earn more money allowing people to buy the individual items, more people are willing to put forth 2 or 3 hundred atoms toward something they like rather than spending 900-1500 on a bundle of things they don't like to get the one time they do. I mean some profit is better than no profit? It's just tiring, feeling completely trolled by them. I have to spend all my points on weight mgmt, spend my caps to buy the resources I don't find easily, unless I want to spend all my time farming for it. Which why even ply if im just farming to play to farm more? I just want to play the game & have fun, I can do that in almost every other mmo I have ever played. I think the only other one I felt like I was being trolled this hard in was, miscreated. I just hope they iron some of these things out, maybe they will, maybe more people just need to speak up. I really really want to love this game & so do my friends, but, we all kind of have the same feeling. We all bought it at launch and we dropped it because it was so terrible & dead feeling. We were really excited as we came back in and found all the npc's & fun new base items etc. Jeebus, then we're freezing all the time, losing claim bases & all the resources that went into building it, sometimes we can connect to each other for team up, sometimes it says we're not online, even though we are? (we're all in the same house, it my boyfriend & my roommate, so, i know they are online & are trying to connect to me) then sometimes I can't fast travel to them, all sorts of weird glitches that come out of no where. Man, I hope these get fixed, this could be one of my favorites, but don't get me started on base building. Why didn't they just stick to how they did it in 4? Why are they re creating the wheel?

*UPDATE* I have finished playing for the most part as it is really just a cash grab, they keep just adding money grab features. A business should want money, but, a game shouldn't feel like you are at a casino. You shouldn't feel embarrassed when you play, like a fool who knows you're being conned, oh better keep your pet happy now with this new "feature" we added in to make your pet sad, so, you can have to buy elixers if you don't want to grind to keep their morale up. lol a feature huh? Sounds like a feature to line your pockets xD ok, well it was fun for a while. I still have a couple thousand gold crystals, but, i dont even think I will get around to spending them, because who cares. I played a little tonight and there is just too many things they've added it feels like work. It's not even fun. I feel like im behind at a job. Plus I walk to dang slow inside buildings, forget it xD

*Update* I am still currently playing. There are reasons to really like this game & reasons to really not like this game. I feel like you for sure have to go into the game knowing you will not have fun if you don't spend money. You will want to have the crystaline aura or you wont have access to the remote storage and you will have to spend coins every time you want to use a triport. There are so many features that you will be locked out of without it, I can't even imagine playing it & enjoying myself without them. If you go in, thinking of it as a paid game, you will probably enjoy yourself a great deal, just know in advance, there are a LOT of different things that will require different items, you can grind for them, some things only allow you so many "grind" chances per day then you are locked out until the next day so it hinders your progress unless you buy. I haven't purchased anything outside of my founders pack & I am still enjoying myself off of just those items, because I was able to get crystals to get the crystaline auras for it. Once those run out, I will probably stop playing, unless I see fit to put more money into the game.

*old Rreview* Just "no" no entry, no refresh to see if the servers open up? Just go away? "Servers closed"No Refresh on the server choice page after the eternally long loading page? My character is on US West & it just says Serves are closed. Cool. so, what uninstall then? And the ridiculous "you must also quit the entire game and re-launch to even switch regions" What even is this? I mean yes it's been sort of fun, not mind blowing, like honestly, I've been enjoying zenith more, but, I was giving this a try since I already put $50 into a pre launch pack, I wanted to mess around and see if I would grow to like it. The menus are all over the place, it feels messy. You have to remember where things are a lot. I'm sure after a while it will be like second hand, but, none of it is instinctive. No to re key binding, I guess we can't be trusted with that, I dunno, I should have known better after 600hrs in new world. Did amazon learn nothing about launch day?

One of the biggest pet peeves is people who stand on top of quest givers with their mounts so you have to stand there waiting for them to move so you can actually turn in a quest. Mounts should disappear to other players when you are talking to a quest giver. or the quest giver should remain on top of other players to your character.

Hopefully I can change this to a positive review in the future but for now, I can't recommend it.

*update~ The more I play, I keep thinking that I will end it when my founders pack worth of coins runs out. Every aspect of the game is locked behind the need for potions which are not as easy to come by as it is easy to drain the energy used. Want to use a trade skill? You will use life/work energy, even logging gathering. When this drains, you will need potions to recover, you get a few in the beginner quests but you run through them VERY fast. There are weekly potion packs you can buy, but, be very careful about the wording of them, more than once person was confused about the potion packs. I have read that there is a place at the end that you can skill up your things for free in a dungeon, however, it would be nice to just be able to play the game. I would rather it be a subscription at this point. It could be a really fun game, but, you really feel like a moron the way they slap you on the forehead with their potion schlong.

I wanted to love this game, I met SO many people! Laughed and stayed up all night with these new friends on discord, running raid groups, helping each other, coming up with strategies to take territories, worked with allies in other factions to come up ~ went through betrayals (#JusticeForDyno #PurpleLore) , vengeance, it was SO fun! Then the mergers happened. We lost our territories, everything we had done for the prior hundreds of hours, was basically, for nothing. Our story was erased, like it never happened. This after getting screwed over and over with their blocking us from trading when needed, just putting so many of the wrong things on stand still, to fast track shoving us into a new world with new people who owned our land. Cool, we got 50k for our lost land, but, we paid 100k for it, thanks for the discount on your end? Not to mention all the gold we had to pour into the companies on smaller servers to pay for upkeep & having to repair our lost upgrades. Just to come into a new server & just feel weird & lost & have our own faction sort of treat us like weird outsiders in what has been our home for so long, with no home to go back to. Mergers were just a weird thing. I tried. There is just too much to be irritated with, so, im on break right now from this game. I did have a blast while it was new, but, I think what was great about it is just gone now. Plus, I was never really happy about how we customize our characters, there is a pretty obvious route they want you to take with each weapon, I had hoped, padding stats one way or another could make one character feel different but still play well, but, it felt to me like each weapon had an idea of how they wanted you to play it, so, just play it that way or its just not going to work. I probably explained that terribly. I loved the fishing, it was my favorite part of the game actually, I maxed it out pretty quickly, at least it felt like it did to me, because it was fun. I think the update for potions was pretty good, I liked it better than before, but, oh well, im gone now. Maybe I'll come back once it doesn't feel like im walking into the wrong house every time i log in.

Depending on what you like, you will enjoy this if you feel like getting lost wandering a bit in a dreary black & white, looping, bad dream of a murder house. I like it, the controls were easy to use, just not my favorite style, so, for me, that was a little immersion breaking & ultimately, what led me to stop exploring.Overall, a cool idea, don't forget to take a dip, while walking through, I sat there for a bit when i found pools.

This is what I wish Star Trek Bridge Crew was, these guys just, got it right, I had this one first, so, I was very disappointed to say the least when I played Bridge Crew. There is just so much to do, I spent time laughing, screaming and gasping in awe in this game. It's just a good time. The guys who worked on this cared a lot about what they were making and it shows. I will probably post a video soon with some footage and update the review. It's been a long time since I've played and it was good last time I played, so, I can only imagine how impressed I will be with all the updates. I can't wait to capture my reaction!

Early Access Review
So far it has been fun ~ Just remember to pick up the boxes if they fall on the ground, it's like any inventory item, pick it up and put it in your inventory. Not much is explained too well yet, I'm guessing based on the reviews, the devs will take into consideration the lack of direction and make the directions more clear. I was a little lost as to what to do, but, I messed with things until I got it. Here is some game play if you are interested in seeing https://youtu.be/DJ5uIAstreM. You will see I am dead when the video opens and I don't know why, I didn't even think to look at the watch on my wrist, honestly, that's just dumb on my part. Once you figure things out, it seems like common sense, but, before hand it can be frustrating. Like, I'm still not sure if I'm eating burned fish. Kinda like in Sea of Thieves, you watch the fish turn color as you cook it, but, it almost seems burned once I think it's "done" at least I think I'm considering it done and not burned, i'm still not sure. So, you get what I mean. Either way I think I have done what I can do at this point. Looks like every thing else is cosmetic, which can be fun, but, I'm more excited for things that will actually move the game forward, like a sail that will move the raft, that will be fun. Looks like I can make one, but, it says it only decorative, so, I'm not going to bother at this point. It should be fun if they add more. Maybe they wont, it might be just this and that's all, that would be too bad. But, for $8 I;m still happy, it's basically the price of lunch, I had fun for hours, so, it's worth it imo.
