Absolutely one of the best survival MMO's out there! I don't play on a pvp server, my roommates and i rented a server and play ourselves. I have absolutely gotten every penny I spent on this game back in a good time! Not many of these kinds of games have dungeons or story lines, this is fun, finding the notes from the princess, she sure went through a lot! Also, it's cool to see the world we are in through her eyes! After we had done most things, we introduced mods to the server, like Age of Calamitous ~ It was like awesome DLC! I can't imagine why anyone would give this a bad review, it's a great time and compared to other games in this genre, it's definitely at the top of the stack!

A great game! Very addictive! We had tons of fun running through dungeons and fighting together, back to back US AGAINST THE WORLD!!!

I have no idea what people are talking about with frustrating controls, I have a TON of VR and have used VR since the DK2. The controls are AWESOME ~ I wish more games used something similar. Reaching for items is simple, selling items by placing them into a sack, I love it!

Honestly, I think the issue with controls is with vive players and thats mostly, I hate to say, because vive controllers are junk. People need to quit paying vive top dollar for a sub par Headset and maybe they will stop acting like Apple & overpricing just because people will pay it, not caring about improving the core issues, mainly being the controllers.

So ~it IS early access~ so it has bugs. I have found even with those bugs I can still have a great time. Riding horses is REALLY fun! Catching them with a lasso is fun too! Building isn't grind heavy until you get to the top tiers, but, you can make a cool, multi level structure with just wood and stone and have all your main crafting stations within a couple hours of starting. I will add a few tips for how I start ~

When you enter the game,
* pick plants and get stones and wood for like 3 minutes
* use the plants in your own crafting system to make rope.
* Craft a spinning wheel to make a lasso, once you've made it, destroy the spinning wheel, so you dont take up space in the world.
Then you're ready, go get a horse!

Crafting your first axe and pick take like just a few stones/wood a piece so just make em real quick so you can mine rocks and cut trees from your horse, so, if you need to get away quick, you can. A bow is helpful, but, before you get a base started, I dont bother, I just run. Its not worth losing the encounter and having to start again. This is important as a newbie lol.

Find your perfect spot and start building! After you start your base and have a foundation down, make a well first if you aren't building by water, so, you can water yourself and your horse.

Then build the metal working table so you can craft a canteen for your water and a bucket for your horses water and your already close to set already.

Then I usually make one or 2 large metal traps, since I only have a bow, this can kill a bison. I set my trap my a single bison, so, I don't aggro more. ThenI stand on the other side of the trap and shoot an arrow at the bison, he charges and the trap kills him before he gets to me. Loot him and go build a tannery, make leather from the rawhide you got from the bison. Now I can craft my plank maker.

werid looking static backgrounds that don't seem like they are rendered in properly. A few things move in the scene in front of the static background, but, it just makes them look weird. I am not sure how on earth the other reviewer was saying the graphics are good...I am running it on a gtx 1080 w/ a i7 7800...if the graphics are good, I should have seen these good graphics if they were there. Maybe the other reviewer doesn't have many games with good graphics? They don't have to look like this. It reminds me of demo porjects I would see on the DK1. I actually had to turn it off because it was annoying my eyes.

I purchased Beyond Despair and had a lot of fun in that game too!

I LOVE the atmosphere! super creepy whispering in my ears in some areas ~ the little girl that pops up could be redesigned a bit, but, shes a good jump scare! There aren't many survival games with paranormal activity in them, so I am really loving this! The quests are fun, sometimes a little harder than I wish, but, it feels super good when you get them done then lol ~ I was a little surprised at the negative reviews for people who played all of maybe 10 or 20 minutes ~ erm, did you even complete a quest or try it at all? Guess what, heavy weapons feel slow and clunky when you swing them, especially when you have no stamina because you have to level up xD wow ~ people are so ready to whine aren't they? This isn't exactly a $60 game, but, its WELL worth a $20 ^-^

Also, not sure what the few were talking about with stuttering and such, I had no lag issues or stuttering, maybe its the commodore 64 they are playing on?

Pro's
1) You get to be IN fallout
2 I didn't feel any nausea, It was pretty comfortable, I could click to turn or just turn my body
3) melee was MUCH more fun than I thought it would be, when you're using your own swinging and bashing movements, it's much more effective than on the regular version of the gaem, I remember it taking much more to kill stuff in the base game ~ swing ~ spat ~ dead ~ WOOT!
4) The shooting is REALLY fun ~ IT was simple and turns out im wayyyy better at aiming than i expected to be! vats smats! who needs it when you shoot like i do? lolz, im sure I will be using vatz more when the novelty wears off and I jsut want to live

Cons
1) Why am I so short? I mean I am in real life, is that why? I tried sitting and resetting the view, then standing, but, I was still at the same height. It really didnt effect the gameplay, but, im also used to being short.
2) PLEASE PLEASE let there be a fix where we can assign our own buttons, I did get really frustrated trying to "land" on the correct things in pip-boy mode and in building mode.
3) There is some clipping, but, im sure this will be fixed ~ its jsut a few hours into launch
4) Not using my hands like I do in every other VR game is a little off-putting, I kind of want to grab handles and pick up sugar bombs lol but,

Overall, I am still SOOOOO happy to have it and im having a great time! I will jsut be patient and wait for the updates and fixes ^-^

These telltale games are a GREAT time! I love choosing to do crazy things sometimes to see what the story will give me and they never dissapoint!

Please pay no attention the the negative reviews. I don't understand people rating a game based on things that are "game extras" as you don't have to pay anything extra to play the game you paid for. Guess what plenty of us played the game as is without mods and don't care about mods of any kind in any game.

Any game that has hundreds of hours of playtime without seeing all there is to see. This game is beautiful and thrilling! SO many things to do and different routes to take! The only bad thing I have to say is that I feel like there was SO much less of an outcome difference based on your responses to NPC's based on the prior FO games. STILL worth every penny. I am anxiously qawaiting the FO4 VR experience ~ YAY

Can you ever even find anything else that would be SO adorable and SO morbid at the same time?! This game is a VERY good time!
