I tried to work with this game I really did. I was even one of the early saps who paid for the game, after all, I played the original Quake from the 90's and they were the best. One thing about this game that has always plagued the developers -- SLOW SERVERS! Whether there are 799 people in the game, which seems to be the norm, or 2,100 people in game, you will wait FOREVER to get a match. On average it will take 2 minutes to find a TDM but it IS NOT UNCOMMON to wait 10 minutes or longer! Unacceptable! If I could post attachments I would post the screenshot showing long waits. The developers are collecting telemetry so they are aware of just how long the wait periods are. Instead of fixing it they make it free to play. I can only hope that Bethesda sells the game to some real developers so this game can again take its rightful status as one of the greatest games. So I am done with this game. Save your bandwith and disk space. Pass on this game.

The second biggest problem they have is matching. How frustrating to get on a match where a player has 47 points and the next highest player has 12 -- wow!

Do not waste your time on this game.

This game is absolutely phenomenal because of the realism and teamwork. The weapons and mortars sound real -- life-like. It is in alpha so there are a few glitches but not enough to stop you from enjoying the game and having fun. The game is really about the teamwork and cooperation. If you like to play as a lone-wolf or Rambo then this game is probably not for you; it is about the other players on your team and keeping them alive. Using voice to communicate is essential to playing as a team so don't be shy. If you are new to this type of game let the other players know and they will help you so you can be a great team member. This game allows you to experience the realism of battle with your brothers-in-arms at your side.

P.S. It is ok to have fun and enjoy the game too. There are times you can joke and times to be serious. Just have fun.

The WORST game ever; not the concept but the game OWNERS!!! They have little idea on what makes a game fun but are ONLY interested in making money. DO NOT GET CAUGHT in this game. The weapons are horrible and you could do more damage with a paper clip, unless you are on a server that seems to give one team an advantage over the other. When you hit an enemy with threee (3) TOW rockets and they are at 10 health you would expect them to die; not so in Hawken. If you are unlucky enough to get on a server that favors a team then you will lose -- no dobut. I have been on those servers when my team was chosen as the "winning" team and I could get a TOW close to another Mech and if they had less than 100% health they were killed. When this happens then the other team starts accusing you of being a hacker. Save your time, and sanity -- try a different game.

Trying for 25 minutes now to access a server. Game concept = GOOD. New owners = BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!

The new owners should be completely forbidden to ever get involved with game software development in any country for the rest of their natular lives. DO NOT TAKE PART IN THIS GAME. They are not developers. They are money makers and have ruined the game. Run, get far away from this game. Tell your friends, make posters, this game is all about the owners making money and nothing else.
