The crafting is way too arduous and conflated.
Just to make 1 sword you need a carpenters workbench, wood chopping block, spinning wheel, tanner, leather working station, forge, anvil, furnace, blacksmithing station, weapon smithing station THEN you have to level each one or pray to RNGesus.
You will waste materials to RNG so keep gathering. You need 80 charcoal to make iron but can only craft 25 at a time at 20 minutes each. That's some mobile game influence right there.
There's no way to know what you need to craft to unlock recipes to make more crafting stations so just craft one of everything even if it doesn't make sense to what you need ie you need to craft the bellows to make a forge just to make the sword pieces, which is just an upgraded anvil so now the anvil is useless. After all that work, your damage increase is hardly noticeable.
Combat is garbage.
You can press G to tell you which direction to go but you'll just get hit with TEXT BLOCK over and over. Very annoying.
Once you place down one of the dozens of crafting stations, sometimes it doesn't even place down and dips from your inventory. Restart the game and it should be there.
The black background of the inventory UI likes to stick around after exiting inventory or one of the dozens of crafting stations' UI.
The internet says you can set a new home spawn at another Petra Dei...dunno how though. I never saw anything pop up or an option to tell me that after clicking on it.
All of these issues are trivial but were in the beta tests. These simple things should have been fixed before releasing even in early access.
Ark: Survival Evolved was more enjoyable in EA and that game is a meme.
Leave mean comments, that's fine. Knowing there are people who are willing to defend this game is a good thing. I submitted a refund request but if and when I'm denied (because you need more than 2 hours to do literally anything in this game) I will come back and hopefully it will be enjoyable. Til then though, please work on this game...this is hardly different than the beta test
