As of Writing i have clocked 40 hours, having taken into account how recent this has dropped and the current state of the game these are the pros and cons i have come across so far:
Pros:
* the current map is expansive with lots to explore and is beautifully designed a lot of attention went in to the design of the map
* the weather effects especially the thunderstorms are a thing of beauty
* the ambient sounds really immerse you into the land
* the game-play is smooth 80% of the time with little issues mainly latency issues during Co-op especially on the odd occasion there are more than 2 of you playing but not necessarily game breaking
* the story/main quest line envelops the history of the era this is set during as well as the folk lore/wives tales of the period
* the building aspect of it is smooth there has been 1 or 2 occasions where i have hammered the mats needed in for it to tell me that it still needs them (again i chalked this up to Latency issues in co-op)
* a reasonable road-map and an active social community which helps each other out
Cons:
* Co-op Mode can do with some adjusting as currently those joining the host don't receive anything beneficial for other than the fact that they have helped someone advance in the game themselves maybe have it so that those that pop in and help you can send a gratitude bundle to their bell tower as a thank you which will open up more people to assist and gain from it
* the combat is bit iffy strikes don't always land hit boxes sometimes don't register (again this is early stage of the game)
* Lack of mounts or a Fast travel system currently without the fast travel system or some faster way to get about its takes ages for you to reach the other side of the map which is sometimes needed for quests etc
* no in-game communication at all


Overall i would recommend this game and look forward to what the future holds for this title

to say its in early access is to be honest far from being the truth, that been in a good way of course as it stands this game consists of many things you can do from the get go changing filters and servos aboard you lifebouy to doning a suit and taking to the exterior or space ans we would all know it as - 'one small step for man..........' you get the gist of it, to top all that off looking at the Nav map and seeing just how large it is really amazes me with the fact that you would be lucky to bump into someone randomly, unless of course you have locked onto their distress beacon and plotted your course to kil... i mean aid them of course.

The moduler system is an absolutely pain in the arse but once learned the fun really starts then, you can either go it alone or invite a friend or someone thats already on the server to aid you in yours and their survival (just be sure to until they impliment the voice chat system dont open the cargo bay doors of the ship when your new friend doesnt have his visor down........ you end up drifting into space full of bullets from said friend)

Yes like everygame ever made there will be bugs and HELLION isnt shy of them from glitching through walls sending you noclipping into space ( ballache if you havent put your suit on yet), to the random crashes that happen.

This game is nowhere near finished yet the amount of substance already available is amazing, good job guys keep up the hard work.

Complete waste of time DO NOT BUY

Absolutely fantastic game for What it is its not beautiful no extreme graphics no ultimate warrior type of BS simply one part of a larger scaled battle that is sometime extremely comical like lobbing a nade it bouncing of a wall and landing at yours and a group of other players feet and they start spamming 'GG' before the nade goes off killing all but 1 of you

the constant fighting where in one life you can push maybe 1 or 2 metres into enemy controlled land killing 10 - 15 AI then to die respawn about 5 metres back to find the enemy has already pushed from your flank and you have to fight your way through them to secure you main advance towards the objective

Great for releasing stress and extremly funny at times

10/10 would defo buy again well worth it endless amounts of gameplay available either against consistent AI or even against each other

personally i feel robbed not just robbed but also insulted at the fact i followed this games 'Promises' and the original pitch they made promising the ability to do all kinds of exploration, base building amongst other things which by the looks and feel of the gameplay in the 'Full Release' they have simply makeshifted someform of coding ect that is not complete and breaks causing game crashes and annoyingly destruction of work that could of taken (if the game would allow without crashing) hours to complete gone in a mere crash or currupted save file


and now after this shambles they are using the funding from this to create a new 'Early Access' game which will also end up in the same way the developers of this game do not care about Reviews like this and others because idiots like myself and countless others that have voiced their own opinion of the game and many more that havent voiced their opinion have already given their money towards an unfinished, unplayable, unstable and overall disgraceful example of Steams Early Access Program

it gives other Early Access game bad rep and Customers of Steam bad Feelings towards buying into the Early Access Games


there is not even a rating i can give this pile of bantha fodder that will justify what could be the worst early release i have bought into

Even though it is still in its alpha stage this game leaves me with no doubt in my mind that it is going to be one massive game when the final product comes out and is a must buy now even in this early stage
