This is a deceptively simple one; it's essentially an image-analysis algorithm paired with a fairly rudimentary paint program.

You play as an inexplicably-green-skinned frenchman. It's just you, a blank canvas, a collection of paints, and a slowly-depleting bank balance that serves to keep you painting.

You have to sell your art to a number of buyers who will continually mill past, commenting on your work. Different potential clients will have different 'preferences', and if they don't like a painting they'll tell you exactly why. Sometimes it's as simple as 'I hate pink' and sometimes it's as vague as 'why do you paint without passion?', but as a general rule your being judged not on 'quality' but on whether it meets certian compositional criteria.

The result is something that works a lot better than you might think.

Because bills are never all that aggressive in their accumulation (being French, you live entirely off of Baguettes and Wine) and the clients are very particular that you fulfil the criteria - but don't care HOW you do it - it essentially works as a series of creative virtual painting exercises.

If you're terrible at visual art like I am, it's an absolutely wonderful way to get over any hang-ups you might have about sucking. Some of the winners of the weekly contests might be distressingly skilled but since the only people actually judging you are the ones throwing money at you for your scrawlings, the whole thing makes for a very relaxed, enjoyable experience.

Definitely a good way to spend an hour or two if you've always wanted to paint but feel you lack the talent required; those with a lot of skill might also find the specific challenges creatively fulfilling. It's definitely worth picking up at the price point.
