Excellent game. EXTREME amounts of hackers lately, godmoded spawn killers, can’t trust the skill of an opponent coz he might have aim assist or bullet dmg increase . In general, the online part is fast becoming unplayable, and I am not sure what the devs would ever do

Fantastic game - early and midgame, that is. The solo player experience imo became quite boring once I had enough resources to actually enter end game - there is no real storyline, just a small handful of pretty much unimportant missions. Yes, you can gather resources enough to build the massive bases/ships you find in the workshop (steam), but there is no real motivation to do so apart from blasting some alien ships that don't give any really useful loot or storyline progression. I truly wonder why they'd make a game/world this large, this beautiful, this detailed, and leave the storyline as a thin, thin shell around it. Maybe that part will be a focal point in updates to come - I for one sincerely hope so. A large galaxy with varied planets, beautifully designed - and no real motivation to bugger around to them (apart from getting a steady supply of the rare resources) because the enemies are pretty much the same, and there are only special "dungeons" to explore on the starting planet anyway. My recommendation goes thumbs-up because the framework of this game is so amazing. It should, however, be mentioned again that I was in doubt, since the motivation for keeping on grinding just isn't really there after you progress into late midgame. No real storyline is a pretty bad thing, and a huge buzzkill in this case. I will still return to EGS, because it rocks in the beginning.
