This is the most sucked into a game I've been in a long time; absolutely riveting. If you enjoy Slay the Spire, or other Card Battlers you will LOVE this game. I've played just about every card battler out there, and all of them barely try to maintain a story. This game has a story that you will be thinking about and reading forums about and obsessing about for months. without spoiling too much, it also has some Doki-Dokiesque moments that I am a sucker for. I accidentally beat it in 2 sittings because I couldn't pull myself away. The mechanics are interesting, yet familiar, and the rules change constantly enough to keep it fresh throughout the entire game. The second I beat it I bought all of the developers games. Play this game. Worth it at full price easily.

Early Access Review
Quite possibly the best game ever, I've been playing the Mount and Blade series for ten years;every title is excellent. This one is easily the most accessible title, with major quality of life improvements compared to the older titles. This is an combination of too many genres to count, done seamlessly. Buy this game.

Early Access Review
Truly a refreshing survival game. Note that my review is based on a Solo experience,

The secret to this game's success is actually simpler than you would think. This game manages to remove the stress of the constant looming threat of starvation, and changes those mechanics in a way that instead of being penalized for not eating, you are given bonuses of different sorts based on the food you eat. These bonuses are necessary to survive but food is relatively plentiful.
This might make it sound like this game is not challenging, but on the contrary this allows the game to focus on creating enemy types that are unique, and very difficult.
The grind for materials is difficult as well, you will only have the ability to mine metals after defeating the first(admittedly easy) boss, but this will still be at least a few hours in.
It is still clear this is an early access game from the lack of variety in building and crafting options. But I have experienced no bugs in my 40 hours in game, which is incredible for an early access game that just released a month ago. I am playing solo, and I don't expect to beat the final Boss(5 total) until 70 hours.
It should be noted this is a game you will need to pull up a wiki for, as you will for most survival games with any degree of complexity. Not that difficulty varies wildly based upon the seed that generated and I found success much easier in my second world. If at first you don't "sucseed" *pause for uncomfortable chuckles*try again.
Ship controls need work, but are interesting in that you may have to wait for the winds to be in your favor to be able to go where you would like, lest you fight a zig zag course that way. While you may initially find this frustrating; it keeps sailing interesting as opposed to games where you just point the bow in the direction you want to go, and then go read a book or something.

All in all an excellent game, and for an early access title it is an incredible game. I'm at 40 hours as of this review, and I will easily put at least another 30-50 into it. In around a year, with all of the support this has received, it is likely the content will be expanded significantly, at which time I will likely revisit, if not complete an entire second playthrough.
