Game is an insult to people who bought and supported Overwatch 1, which was deleted off all storefronts and can't be played anymore.

Get it on sale, if at all. It feels like a weird half baked DLC for RE2 remake and is, at most, 6 hours long. Missing most of the actual game, from the game that it's remaking, is unbalanced and untested just dumping as much ammo and as many zombies on you as they can. Half the doors are locked and never open. The points of no return are frequently untelegraphed, there are 3 or 4 major time skips, and I am convinced none of the bossfights were properly playtested.

TL;DR it's a great game with UI issues and predatory monetization. if you thing fighting games are too hard try this one it babies you into it.

Review as follows

You know what I've played this game for like 500 hours I might as well give it a thumbs up. Game is great. The first fighting game I have ever been sucked right into and made to feel at home.

The expansive story mode with it's non-offensive story beats, fun little easter eggs, and extreme tutorialization eases you into the idea of a 6 button fighting game very slowly, it really babies you in. If I had any complaints it would be the grind, it takes significant effort to fully unlock each character's moveset. By the time you do you'll be done with the story mode 5 times over.

The supplementary game modes are your standard stuff you got an arcade challenge and a practice mode and a vs mode, online and offline. There's also an "extreme" mode which is sort of a competitive challenge mode that's pretty good. There are also extensive tutorials for every character the break them down step by step so you can better lean everyone's moves in a granular fashion.

the main online mode, the Battle Hub, as it's dubbed, is also a nice addition as well. it's a clump of 4 or 50 player servers where you as your story mode character can come and physically exist in another space with other players, and chat, and send little stickers, and even fight storymode v storymode character if you want. it's all very personal and welcoming.

Some cons about the game though include a lot about the presentation and the aggressive, sometimes nonsensical monetization. There are multiple different pause menus that are all context sensitive depending on where you are in the game. When you're on the main menu you have the most functional, the multi-menu that lets you access friends and replays and system settings and battle passes and all that. When you're in the story mode you have that menu, and the cell phone to access the map and your items and buffs and quests. when you're very specifically in the game mode select menu OR the battle hub you have a 3rd menu that lets you see your player card, and from that menu you can access a sub menu that lets you pick your character, and from THAT menu you access a sub menu that lets you pick your costume, AND FROM THAT MENU you access a sub menu that lets you change your title cards and your character music and your preferred stage. It's a mess.

The monetization is also something of an issue. I've been trying to keep up with all the DLC to have the most complete version of the game I can and it is a nightmare. While new characters cost in the range of $7 each or so, their costumes cost in the ballpark of 10, and their alternate color pallets are around $15 for a set or $3 each. This isn't even mentioning the auxiliary customizations like character portraits which are about a dollar each, and stage music which is sold in large packs for $5 as well. This isn't even mentioning the battle passes they expect you to be present for just whenever the ♥♥♥♥ they feel like adding one and run for maybe a week, $10 each please. Even the player character from the story mode gets DLC, and they love to make this as fomo as they can, costumes often rotating in for DAYS at a time, costing upwards of $20 each, and then disappearing forever. I have spent probably $400 on this game trying to keep up with all this crap but I just stopped bothering with the battle pass and the story mode store it's not worth it.

Overall I'd say this is a really solid game, especially if you are new to fighting games, or have played them but been frustrated by the high skill floor, definitely check this game out, it goes on sale frequently for $30 even. Just be ready to lube up your wallet if you're foolish enough to chase a complete edition like I am.

A fantastic 2D platformer with a focus on speed and coordination, pizza tower is a game that will scratch the "gotta go fat" itch you might be missing in your life while still providing a fair challenge for a more casual player who wants to take things at their own pace.

Marketed as a free to play open beta, you get in the game, they shove 15 ads in your face, and you had to pre-order the game for $70 to play the beta.

Goodbye Volcano High is a game

In fact it's a pretty ok game. I have had my eye on it for a minute, and I went in with rock bottom expectations, and it surprised me by being actually competently written, with characters who have basic emotions and motivations. A rarity in visual novels from what I've seen.

My problems with the game stem from it's content. It is about 5 and a half, 6 hours to slam through the whole game and in that time you will see everything the game has to offer, all the content. You will maybe miss 2 cutscenes if you're going out of your way to be a ♥♥♥♥ to the other characters. Even within those 6 hours too you'll start to see the rough edges of the game.
Character models snapping hard between animations, lips not even remotely synched to the speak, whole bridge sections between chapters going entirely unvoiced, subtitles not lining up wit voice lines, the whole shebang. I was genuinely shocked considering this game had multiple delays, and had studio backing from Sony, how barebones it feels.

even a lot of the story elements feel lacking. The characters in game talk about how they're scared of the asteroid hitting the planet but the game does such a poor job communicating the passage of time, and the location of the asteroid, that I didn't know it actually was going to hit the planet and kill everyone until the game's final 2 chapters.

There's also little screen time for any of the side cast. Anyone who isn't vital to the story are seen in 1 frame pngs, a single time. And characters who are secondary to the story barely get any screen time at all. Including the main character's love interest, who comes across as something of a creep at first.

This review has been fairly negative but I want to stress I did like the game. If it seems like the kind of game you would play from the marketing, you will prolly enjoy this game. I just wouldn't recommend it at this price point, it has barely anything going on aside from the music which is genuinely good, and the presence of voice acting, at all.

A big sprawling, confusing mess of a game, were every time it feels like you start to get a foothold, some guy in a ship the size of mexico comes along and kicks your ship in just because you look like an easy stat padding target. Even in "safe" space zones other players will relentlessly stalk and attack you.
Don't bother unless you have an in with a power in game guild already.

Somehow the game still runs perfectly fine on Windows 11

A simple collection of minigames that are alright. Fairly brainless but an ok time, some of them are even almost fun! The kind of game you can play with a couple friends for an hour and never again.

Pretty good game, fun to goof around in, hang out with friends, good atmosphere.

Kinda crappy they shoveled in tons of quest content that requires you to stay stationary or simply not be sunk, for long periods of time, while also marking where you are on the map for all the 12 year olds who got the game for free to see you. (that are required to unlock a large chunk of the map mind you)

but ya know, it's video games. Fin game about boats.
