Ya know it's pretty good I guess.
Like Town of Salem with less mechanics.
Or trouble in Terrorist Town with less mechanics.
Or Space Station 13 with less mechanics.

Stab your friend. Fix the ship. Act dumb as hell. Say naughty words in the chat.

A cute little playable teaser for some upcoming games published by Devolver. Short and sweet, the main gameplay involves wandering around a canceled E3 type event, hitting all the major booths and watching trailers for above mentioned games without getting spotted by floaty camera drones. There's some minor FPS elements, you can use a tee-shirt gun to disable the cameras, and there's a couple of easy puzzles, even an end boss to fight.

The majority of the program is just focused on watching the trailers and getting a sneak peak at some of the game's models though, while exploring cute little booths that would be a pain in the ass to set up in real life, so you can kinda get a feel for each game's art style by peeking around at the over the top environments, at's all very nice and pretty.

Reminds me of the ye olde days of gaming, when you would get like, Playstation Magazine or PC Gamer on CDs so you could read the articles and watch trailers in a virtual environment as opposed to on paper, it's very charming.

The action was dismal and the nudity was frustratingly fleeting. I barely got going.
So, this is a pinball game in the long running Senran Kagura series, apparently. Never played any of the games, only learned it was a show after looking at the steam discussions, so this was my first dip into the series, and the impression I got was...mixed.

I'll start by saying that as a pinball game, it's servicable. The physics...are there. They aren't great, but they work for what the game goes for. You can aim your shots as well as you would hope, the tilting guides the ball fairly well, you can catch the ball in the flippers like you would expect. It's all very doable. The tables themselves, all 2 of them, are...fine, I guess. Shockingly easy though, the only reason I ever dropped a ball was because on level 4 the game suddenly stuttered, and by the time it caught back up the ball was already drained. I think you have to actually try to drop the ball down the side drains as well, it seems like the openings are the exact width of the pinball. I also find it odd that they frontload the more complex table and give you the simplier one for the second half of the main story mode, but I guess it's ok?

Speaking of the story mode, it's...weird and uncomfortable? Maybe I just don't watch enough hentai, but the dialog between characters ranges from cringe inducing to disturbing in my opinion. It's mostly sort snippets of wordplay and exposistion dumps explaining the character backgrounds, and when it's not, it's focusing mostly on 2 particular characters, one of whom speaks like a small child, deliberately, which is a little creepy, and the other constantly insists on being physically harmed, which is also pretty creepy.

the rest of the cast are fine, as far as shoehorned in kinky ♥♥♥♥ goes. They mostly just relay character backstories and awkwardly point out that they're shinobi every few lines, which was helpful to me as a newcommer to this series, because I really never would have made that connection at all. I dunno, maybe it's just because it's a spinoff and the visual novel aspect is kept mercifully short. I can't imagine it's quite this awkward in the regular series.

Overall, it's a very simple pinball game that you can crack out in a few hours, and if you have any experince with more difficult pinball tables you'll probably find little here to stand out, other than the MASSIVE breasts and the power up gimmicks. This is what you used to call a "rent, don't buy". Fun in short bursts and good if you want to blow off some steam and look at some scantily clad anime babes, not really the kind of thing you can sink dozens of hours into.

Game's good.

For returning players: There was a lot of small changes to how the mechanics work, mainly things to lessen the difficulty and make the game easier to digest for it's intended audience, but it's still a great game at it's core and everything you remember being here, is here.

For new players: This is an entirely wholesome and enjoyable experience for anyone looking for an easy, relaxed 3D collectathon platformer. Don't go into it expecting a huge challenge or a life changing experience, but if you're looking for something fun and colorful with mild gameplay, this is for you. Especially if you're considering buying the game for the young Spongebob fan in the household, this game's target audience is reading aged fans of the show and it's suited to them perfectly.

I like it, but the VR mode (you know, the main draw of the game over second life) needs serious work.
I was standing in the Sanrio store, a 3 meter by 3 meter server with maybe 30 items in it, and I was getting a buttery smooth...9 frame per second. This is super harsh on my brain and body, I get motion sick real easily.

And it's not a hardware issue either! I can run other VR activity centers and games such as Hotdogs Horseshoes and Hand Grenades, Virtual Rikality, Job Simulator, and Payday 2 at stable, reasonable framerates just fine.

I just made it to floor 21, where a max level tier 3 defender is killed in 2 hits by every enemy except a tuber, and you don't get tier 4 fighters until you hit floor 25. Which is locked off behind a boss fight. Enemies in this area are spongey as ♥♥♥♥ as well, taking upwards of 2500 damage to put down.

Oh, and this is where they start charging real life money to revive your characters, you can no longer recover them at the cost of all equipment, money, and XP they have for free, now it costs $1.50. I wondered why there were so many negetive reviews.

Eh, it's alright.
I played the old gametap version, and it's still the same game, just on steam a heavy discount. It's a light platforming game where you run around and spread your dubious evil goop all over everything in an attempt to make things dark and grim, as a way of reflecting on how your standard children's stories have changed over time to be more soft and digestable than how they were originally written. Decent little time killer if you're looking for something casual with a fairytale theme.

Well this aged poorly. Game finally left early access, and I played the completed, released version. suffice to say, it is not very good at all. Poor weapon balancing, overly massive map, game breaking bugs everywhere, whole chunks of the map missing so it's easy to get out of bounds, TONS of unused areas.

least forgivable of all, a lack of "heart". It just sort of feels like a large incohesive mess slapped together as quick as they could, burred in references and jokes that are extremely poorly delivered and not even relevant when the game actually launched.

One might even call it: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cringe.

original review as follows:
The game is in a barely functional alpha state right now, it's mostly a big empty sandbox to ♥♥♥♥ around in and a few tutorial missions to catch newcommers up to speed on the classic postal 2 mechanics, such as pissing, petrol fires, and "befriending" animals, but the groundwork is there. There's a good variety of weapons in the game and they function as expected. Guns are meaty and feel powerful enough, the new driving mechanics are a little jank, but they work. The mighty foot is a little lackluster as of yet, ironic because John St John is doing the voice this time around. John's doing a great job though, the voice acting is TOP tier.

I have high hopes for the final release of the game, it's shaping up to be a great addition to the Postal family. New features are already being added, like the above mentioned driving, and light customization options, like gun skins (that you don't have to buy) and a weapon menu for adding weapon attachments, as opposed to the limited time powerups featured in Postal 2.

I'd say wait for the full version, but I trust RWS with my cash. These guys are on the level, and I expect they'll do great work on this game.

This is a good game. It's a really good game. I've yet to play a shooter quite like it, the dynamic enviromental damage makes the game so fun and replayable, there are so many ways to approach any situation gives it endless rep[lay value and playing with a team of friends is really some of the most fun you can have in a multiplayer shooter. However there are a ton of cons that are included in the deal that make me feel like I can't recommend this game in good faith.

Let's start with the least offensive: the playerbase. You can have a lot of fun and do really well for yourself if you're playing in a party with 4 of your friends. But god help you if you jump into this solo, as everyone else jumping into solos is a 6 year old who just can't wait for you to mic in and start talking strategy, so he can screech racial slurs at you over his dollar store mic. It has happened EVERY SINGLE MATCH I've ever played. So unless you're with friends, there's going to be 0 team co-ordination.

Next on the chopping block is the characters. There's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of them and they all have different abilities. Sounds great on paper, but then you realize that half of them are totally useless. ♥♥♥♥ like "you can be a guy with a shield and no accuracy to his guns, or a guy with a shield and no accuracy that also has unlimited flashbangs" or "play as a girl who has a grenade launcher that only breaks baracades you can melee open, or play as a girl who has a grenade launcher that deals a truckload of damage and also breaks the baracades". ♥♥♥♥ like this makes me think that no thought goes into the characters at all.

Here's the real kicker though, the scummy ass microtransactions. This game originally cost 60 bucks, and while it's gone down in price considerably, it really needs to be free, as that's how the monitization model works. New characters cost upwards of 5 dollars each, and cosmetic items can cost as much as 20 bucks, for a damn skin!!! And while you can buy this ♥♥♥♥ with in game currency, the dev team makes that as boring and drawn out as they possibly can. New characters cost between 10,000 and 25,000 of the free currency, and on a good day, you'll make 300 of these per match. Even if you're the hyper god MVP and kill everyone on the other team and hit all the objectives by yourself, you're looking at a cool 700.
God help you if you want to buy cosmetic items with your free currency, by the way. It costs upwards of 40,000 free currency to buy a single skin, and the prices only get worse from there.

Don't worry though, if you spend 20 real earth dollars, you can get a TEMPORARY free currency booster.
Remember Jetpack Joyride, the free game, with it's 1 dollar x2 coin booster? it's like that, but way more expensive and it goes bad in a few days.
