General Info
Wolfenstein: The New Order is a first person shooter Developed by Machine Games, who's internal staff have previously worked on "The Darkness" and "Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay" The game is a "soft reboot" of the series, meaning that story elements from previous games are mentioned, but it can be played standalone.

The game follows the ongoing adventure of captain William "BJ" Blazkowicz as he slaughters his way though the Nazi menace in an alternate reality 1960 where they won World War 2 and subsequently took over the world, following 1 of 2 very slightly different timelines in which BJ ether fights alongside an old war buddy or a young army private in an attempt to kill returning villain General Deathshead.

In the gameplay department, we have 16 stages of Nazis to fight through, with around 5 distinct enemy types and some VERY light puzzles. What the game lacks in enemies it more than makes up or in ways to dispatch them, featuring 8 weapons with alternating fire modes and duel wielding, including throwing knives, EMP devices, assault rifles with rocket launchers, silenced pistols, and laser weaponry. The game also offers gameplay reward perks to increase survivability, as well as health and armor boosting collectables.

Pros and ♥♥♥♥ (IMO)
PROS
  • Level Design: The levels are built in such a way that they almost always funnel you to exactly where you need to go naturally, with little need for indicators.
  • Gunplay: The guns are loud and satisfying, all of them able to put your standard Nazi down in 2 or 3 well placed shots.
  • Health Regen: On higher difficulties, I found that recovering 20 HP is exactly right for sprinting to the next cover for a health pack. It keeps you in the fight without making you too powerful.
  • voice Acting: The voice cast is much better this game, will real live Germans speaking in real German! :D
  • Secrets: The game has plenty of little things to keep you invested in finding the secrets; for example, all treasure items have a unique model, and collected code scraps unlock alternate game modes.
♥♥♥♥
  • Timelines: While it's a cool idea in theory, in practice all that the timeline mechanic accomplishes is forcing the player to play each level twice with virtually no differences.
  • Music: While the in game score is intense, it's mostly just throwaway orchestral tracks I could probably mix myself.
  • Bosses: The bosses in this game are very underwhelming, you fight a total of 4 of them, with the final boss being actually broken and requiring an exploit to kill on any difficulty higher than the lowest.
  • Gun Removal: You are stripped of your weapons and have to find new ones almost every level, this gets tiresome.

All and all, I'd say The New Order is a solid above-average shooter, definitely worth looking at if you're a fan of first person shooters and/or war games.

Read my Re-Review at Steemit!
https://steemit.com/gaming/@mitsota101/postal-2-review

Postal 2 is a first person shooter originally released back in 2003 by Running with scissors and is one of my favorite games of all time.
The main goal of the game is live a full week in the shoes of "The Postal Dude" in Paradise, a fictional suburban desert city in Arizona. The player must complete a short list of mundane chores each day, such as buying Milk or returning a library book.
The gimmick of the game is that the player has the choice to behave like a normal human being, (waiting in lines, paying for goods) or the player can choose to "go postal", killing anyone who stands in their way, with no regard for laws or human decency.
The player has a large disposal of weapons available to them, raging from standard firearms such as .9mm and .45mm handguns, Shotguns, and assault rifles, to whacky weapons such as human urine and anthrax filled cow heads.
The game is also very inclusive of player at varying skill levels, ranging from "Libermode", where no enemies are allowed to use firearms, to "impossible", where every enemy wears heavy armor and will shoot the player on-sight.
The game is largely focused on dark comedy and political humor, taking jabs at politicians, liberals, middle-eastern lifestyles, and the general state of America at the time. (In my opinion, a lot of these jokes are still funny, and most of them hold up today)

If this sounds like your kind of game, I highly recommend you pick it up. In my own opinion, I think this is a true PC classic, an is too often overlook for it's crassness.

Spelunky is a 2D action platformer, and an HD remake of a freeware title I used to play all the time. It's a simple concept: You play as one of a handful of cute little explorer people reminiscent of the Indiana Jones film series, and you attempt to guide them through a series of 15 Randomly generated stages across 4 landscapes, with optional side landscapes and optional bosses to discover, Players must fight their way through the game in one continuous run to complete the game, as the entire game world is randomly generated every death. The game also offers alternate game modes to mix it up a little, such as (up to) 4 player co-op, 4 player VS mode, and a Daily Challenge.

This is one of my favorite games, and I highly recommend it to any fan of Rougelikes or 2D platformers, you'll get hours of entertainment from this game!

Plants Vs. Zombies is a tower defense game by Popcap Games, notable for basically being the Jesus of casual PC games, bringing us such classic titles as Peggle, Insane Aquarium, Zuma, Bejewled, and Bookworm.

I feel PvZ is the high point in their library, offering hours of fun gameplay, interesting enemies, and a HUGE selection of towers to choose from, offering a wide variety of playstyles. If you get bored trying to defend your home and your brain with rows of towers, you could try your hand at one of the alternate game modes included, like Walnut Bowling, Beguhled, or I Zombie, modes that completely change how the game plays. Tired of all the zombies? Why not hang out in your zen garden, picking up coins from happy plants?

All in all, I feel like Plants vs. Zombies is a great game that everyone should at least try once. One of my must plays!

Night in the Woods, oh boy, where to even begin. I think I'll start by saying that I really enjoyed my time playing this game. I liked the setting, the characters, the writing, it's all pretty solid. I especially like the music, most of the game's tracks are very well composed and add to the atmosphere of the game quite a bit, perfectly complementing the minimalist art style and beautiful fall color palette. The characters are fairly believable, as well as highly relatable in a few cases. The game offers decent replay value, offering different dialog and even entirely different segments of the game depending on how you spend your time in Possum Springs.

...And uh, that's all I can really say about this one without totally spoiling anything about the game. I'd love to post some deeper thoughts on the game, like how it's suprisingly fair with it's politics, not necessarily saying one political belief is superior to another, despite the developer's own political bias, but I don't want spoil a bunch of story for you guys.

Go buy it, I highly recommend it, even at it's $20 price tag.

Poi is an old school 3D platformer inspired by games like Super Mario Sunshine and Rocket Robot on Wheels. with a bright, cartoony and family friendly atmosphere. Made by a very dedicated team of developers, this game looks amazing and plays very smoothly at medium settings on my R7, and even play consistantly at 40 rames or so on max settings.
let's get into the short and sweet of it.
THE GOOD
  • Tight, easy to pick up controls with suprising depth.
  • Good varity in gameplay styles.
  • Large, visually interesting and densely packed levels.
  • Tons of collectables to find.
  • Extra replay value with a "New Game Plus"
  • The game seems to encurage speedrunning.
THE BAD
  • Curency becomes useless after the first level or two.
  • Enemy hitboxes can be finicy and often lead to unfair deaths.
  • Some mechanics and puzzles are poorly explained.
If you want a number, I'll say 7 out of 10.
This is a great platformer, I highly recemend it for casual adult gamers and for children alike.

I want to start by saying that I had a great time playing this game. I tend to like cheap dude shooters, it's a weakness of mine. I like the gunplay; the reloads are fast, the guns do serious damage and are very satisfying, and the respawns are fast and kick you back into the fight in Deathmatch mode pretty quickly. The game runs very smoothly on my lower end R7. But let's get into the meat of the game: The gameplay!
Everyone starts out with an Assault Rifle that does decent damage reliably at all ranges, an SMG that is just slightly more useful than throwing sand at your enemies, and a sniper rifle that can kill anyone in one shot, but has a slow reload.
As you play, you'll unlock very slightly better versions of these guns, as well as a sotgun that is amazing in tight spaces.
At the start of the game you'll be prompted to select a soldier from 8 characters, each of whom has 1 cooldown ability. These abilities appear to be taken from the anime, although admit I've never seen the show or films. These abilities recharge over time, and can be charged faster by killing enemies. While all of the abilities are useful in theory, I foundthe only one I found useful was the Arm Launcher, a rocket propelled grenade that explodes on contact wit an enemy or wall. I found it helpful when fighting Think Tanks, as they can kill them in one hit. The other ability I find useful is NanoArmour, which not only doubles your armor and heals you, but if you let it build to rank 2 it lets 2 other teammates also gain health and armor. This ability isn't really helpful in Team Deathmatch, but is incredible in Demolition (aka Counterstrike Mode) and in Terminal Mode (aka Team Fortress Capture Points)
Let's talk about some of the issues I have with this game. While the game runs just fine, the menu interface is in desperate need of an overhaul. When you sign in, the first game I join ALWAYS freezes and won't let me play for about 25 seconds or so. As if this isn't bad enough, if I perform well enough in the match to level up anything, (or I earn a random drop) I don't have enough time to return to the lobby and vote for a map, sometimes stalling me to the point where I'm locked into the next match.
While I'm playing matches, I find it hard enough to tell my teammates apart in the heat of the action, but on most of the maps (and there aren't that many) the enemy team all use the same model. Speaking of the maps...I Don't like em. I mean, they're great, well designed maps, but aside from the mall, it's all the same drab grey blandness, so generic I half expect to find out the dev team recycled parts of some of them from older games.

All and all, I do recommend you try this game if you don't own CS:GO or Call of Duty, it's a good substitute if you're a cheap bastard like me, but I really feel like this game isn't going to stick, it just feels like a cheap cash in on a popular anime brand, especially with it's complete lack of content and it's gaul to as 190 USD in dlc skin packs and limited use consumables. So have at it wile they're are still players on the servers.

still the saltiest game I have ever played. While the gameplay and charactors are great, the learning curve makes me want to castrate myself with a spoon. I can't really make an informed judgement on this game, because I haven't sunk 2000+ hours into it, but I think it might be a good MOBA. maybe.
