CK3 improves upon the formula from CK2 and other Paradox games. The largest improvement is the shift of your councillors completing assigned tasks after a scaling duration rather than having a scaling percentage chance to complete. 10/10.

I bought this game because I was itching for a simple RPG I could complete over the holidays with a unique character stat system, one where I felt that the choices I made in the game really mattered rather than just being railroaded along. The Banner Saga delivered, 10/10. The beautiful art style was a pleasure to play with, the music just as gorgeous. While many characters were similar to one another, there was enough difference between them to make tactics and squad composition an enjoyable part of the game. It was fun to craft a personality for each of the view-point characters and see it through to the end- and there were enough options throughout the game for that to be possible. My only complaint would be about the sometimes-awkward transitions between different dialogue interfaces, where choosing one would have been cleaner.
I would recommend this game to anyone, and will be buying Banner Saga 2 and 3 before the steam sale ends.
