So after slaving away for many hours on hardcore, I finally learn not from the game but searching it online that you can get permanent bonuses to the character in story mode by doing challenges! Why arent we getting bonuses just from playing the regular story mode game isnt that the roguelike experience people expect?

The fixed map locations are interesting, you can explore different paths but in the end it just pigeon holes you into going specific a route, which would be fine if let's say discovering "?" locations would work to unlocking the "challenge" bonuses, because right now it feels like a waste of time. Another thing you should have is a log of every place you visited and choices you made and rewards/ailments you got. Right now it's very taxing to remember all of it.

All things considered it's still a good game.

Soviet Bioshock - Get it on sale, preferrably when all the DLC are out, because ending stories continue from there.

Played the roguelite campaign mode, which is why I bought it. I had fun.

Some things I didnt like though:
The geriatric voice acting, it's not worth the celebs or get other VA's to replace.
A bit goofy world and its denizens.
Turf wars were a bit plain - instead of just uprading the army level, would've cooler options to select their weapons, armour, special soldiers.
Some things are not explained well.

To preface you'll get some rogue like card game fun from this game.

It's not even that hard as some have said, the issue is that your leader must survive but it being under threat is not conveyed very well, so most runs you lose because you acted too fast and didnt notice your leader is under fire. The art style might also contribute as everything looks the same, especially your base buildings - look so similar and ugly. Having a constant red/yellow icon that shows gets hit/potential hit

If you can get it with 10$ish, it's a good visual grotesqueness.

Slow and Repetitive! but It's still a good game!

If they could add a version of the game where the Knight rotation didn't exist, the whole healing and gaining experience, it's just all too bothersome. Rather would have fewer knights with diverging talent trees or something that aren't under leveled.

Then you got the world map where quests appear and clicking one loads you into a smaller area where you can run around looking for fights, interactions, loot etc. Time spent in that area is too long, too many repetitive fights, they should halve it. Furthermore they should remove the roaming part all together. It should automatically start at the fight and give some options whats routes to go and hint what perils or rewards could be had! Because god forbid you missed a marker and have to zigzag your slow ass group back to that place.

Game has too much going on I would say, less would be more in this case.

Great quick souls experience. Can be longer, but not into NG+ myself.

Brace yourself for the starting/center area, it's inception levels confusing to traverse.

Needs atleast 1-2 years of dev time. This is basically early-access title, even worse.

Very repeating, no crafting but trillion mats, boring story, not well thought out - the whole survival thing, inventory is a mess. It's pretty tough, robots looks cool - but you usually just wanna bike or run through robots than to fight them to reach a destination so you wouldnt waste time.
