I have 748 hours of War Hammer 3 vs my 8,000 hours in War Hammer 2.

This is probably my first review of the series and it is about the direction the game is going. As everyone can see I am not recommending the game, primarily because of the SOC DLC and statement from CA that has been recently released.

This game is unplayable.

In a strategic game against a computer there are things that need to happen. Frist is the AI needs to be semi competent and while you can hide some problems by giving the AI cheats the AI decisions need to be at lest understandable to the player. In battle the AI often just breaks and does nothing often letting the player destroy the army with out moving. That is a extreme example but it happens often.

Battles can become bugged where the maps are unplayable as you cannot even deploy your army.
Features CA say are introduced are bugged and do not work the very patch they are introduced in
Existing factions break and can no longer recruit certain units.
CA are steadily removing any player agency from the campaign map seemingly forcing a player to be poor.
CA seem to be far more concerned with bugs that are fun then game breaking bugs.

And to top it all off they have threatened with shutting the game down unless we buy a DLC that has a much higher price tag and less content then any other DLC to date.

So do not buy, Its a broken mess that CA has no intention of fixing as they have not already done so, instead they will hold out promises to eventually get to X problem while releasing less and less content.
