This game also allows you to create or recreate things beyond gaming -- for example when my brother died I created a memorial room (with walls of photos) to honor and remember him forever within the game. The incense is burning, music playing, videos of him dancing and laughing, and everything in the room was specifically designed and placed for him. Still makes me cry when I load the room, and that's just a touch of the magic this game bestows upon you.

This is not "one game" -- it's a massive (technically infinite) collection of tabletop/card/miniature games and therefore no other 'single' game could possibly compare. 96% positive reviews, I think that says enough.

It's not a terrible game, but it actively punishes the player for playing the game. That's simply bad design. From the "banking limit" that basically erases any gold earned beyond the forced "cap" to the random dungeon generation that occasionally makes dungeons unwinnable.

This is NOT a true strategy game. While there may be "no dice rolls" you are rolling the dice by simply starting a game.

5/10 -- buy it at half price -- or maybe just don't bother.

This was one of my first jobs.. so I can't knock the game.
Naturally it shifted hands many times and lost it's value.
I'd be curious to know what it's "worth" now.

The game is epic. Very fairly priced and regularly goes on sale for 50%+ off. Buy 1,2,3 and all DLC during a sale, it's that simple. It does require a little modding to get the maximum enjoyment out of the game and to restore AI agents to their former glory (since they were nerfed heavily in the first installment) but anyone giving this game less than 10 stars doesn't appreciate game development and the amount of PURE LOVE that went into not one but three epic installments of Total Warhammer.

The application does not open at all in Windows 11, and doesn't work at all in any of the provided compatibility modes. Otherwise it is a decent Poxnora knock-off. However some runes are extremely OP.

Great f2p game =) fun for parents+kids!

My game legitimately just crashed when merging two mercs after a battle...it's 2021 and you work for SEGA on one of the most epic franchises in gaming history - you can do better!

Morale is a joke - Gauls soil themselves & flee as soon as they see the EAGLE....
Most factions just base camp with no intention of participating. (this was an issue in original as well)
WHAT is with AI besieging??? They never actually assault the settlement (ON VH)!? (this is game-breaking ...fire the guy who coded that weaksauce and let's get back to total war!)

Saw the developer on reddit & wanted to buy to support! This is a decent game (really should be cheaper) but willing to pay extra to support the dev & bought the dlc too!

This game lost it's touch years ago and it's only gotten more expensive.

I can't recommend anyone pay 34.99 for a game I wouldn't even play.

I should note I started playing this game in Alpha -- and it was honestly just a better game back then. No amount of mods can fix the damage that's been done.

The game used to be a true"story generator" and it did just that -- it created endless stories of survival that flooded the internet gathering a massive player-base. We used to care about our characters -- about our colonies -- about our game. After years of feature creep, changes, and mods it just feels "streamlined" and "designed for the masses" -- which means dumbed down.
