This is the end-all game for people who enjoy Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing, etc.

I don't think anything in the genre can touch Stardew as far as gameplay is concerned. The sheer amount of activities at your fingertips it impressive. The ability to simultaneously play with up to three friends all running around doing farm activities, fishing, fighting in the mines, and then meeting up at the end of the day to all go to sleep before doing it all over again is damn near unmatched in any other 2D game.

I've played this a lot by myself as well and it's still fun, but not the same as hanging out with friends.

Music is very repetitive, I always have it off.

Modern Minesweeper with a bureaucratic twist. This game is excellent. It's amazing the emotions they are able to make you feel using just 86 MB.

It's remarkable the amount of realism they were able to cram into this adorable looking indie race title.

Cars all handle differently, learning to drive each one to its limits requires time and patience. The physics are fantastic. The atmosphere and sounds just absolutely nail the feel of rally. Everything from the crowd nearly being run over, to the blow off valve and afterfire from the Audi Quattro S1's exhaust, it's all here.

The difficulty is much higher than you would expect, especially if you're competing in the top 1% of players, where every thousandth of a second counts. The skill ceiling is just mind blowing.

Some use this as a relaxing, care free title. But I'm not one of those people.

Fantastic roguelike with a linear difficulty curve for all types of players.

Great co-op. Good bosses. Good run length. (Please keep 3 world as a run option in the future)

Fantastic gun variety. Excellent ways to build your character differently every run. Some completely bonkers broken builds you can come up with (becomes necessary for the harder difficulties)

Art style is a little uninspired for me, abilities besides the default character seem like an after thought.

High replay value. For $12, it's a steal.

Basically; asteroids on steroids.

Another title to add to the list of "Ok, one more try" games like Spelunky, Downwell, Devils Daggers, Bust a Move, etc.

It's hard. Visuals are perfect and the subtle camera movements are slick. Sound design is fantastic.

It's a great game to jump in for a some quick plays, or for long grueling trials trying to beat your friend's score.

This is the worst trials game. I'm not big into the singleplayer aspect of these games, but if you are there are some crazy high skill ceiling levels packed in here.

Multiplayer suffers from a ton of glitches that completely ruin the only reason I personally enjoy this game. The launch finish doesn't recognize you crossing the line 90% of the time, and that was the thing that really made this game amazing with 3 friends.

The optimization is also much worst than previous titles. Don't really know how they dropped the ball so hard here. But it makes me sad.

My play hours here are damn near nothing but I have hundreds in the full series.

It's a Left 4 Dead clone that's so good I feel bad for using that description. Superior in every way; level design, gameplay mechanics, and the fact that there are stats and loot that stay with you. It's gorgeous, the sound effects are perfect, and the reward of completing a hard level with three friends is hard to top.

UPDATED REVIEW NOV 2020
Devs continue to improve game with big updates.

UPDATED REVIEW APR 2020
Devs came though and fixed almost all of the issues I had with this title. No more dropping from servers, no more unplayable lag. So, this game now stands up there with some of my all time favorites.

Only issue still remaining is the framelate loss after playing for a few hours. Seems to stem from how much of the map you walk across since connecting to server. I will connect at 60 fps, and an hour or so later I will be at 25 fps. This isn't a huge issue since disconnecting and connecting again restarts this. It's just a minor inconvenience to people that play this too much.

I can now completely recommend this game to anyone that enjoys a building kind of community-driven game. Even minecraft players can find a much more vast title to enjoy while not moving far from what they love.

OLD REVIEW:
Game is great, but the net code desperately needs to be fixed. This issue is turning me, and all your other supporters away.

There were issues pre 7.4. But even with framerates in the teens, and constant bugs, we could at least stay connected to a server.

Stop updating pointless things like wood pulp models and iron ore thumbnails and fix the damn netcode. Please. Before your community completely abandons you.

While you can get this game on sale for 50 cents, it's hard to justify the 2 hours spent in this hollow "expansion" of the classic. Save your change and download a community addition if you're hungry for more after the main game and Opposing Force. Many are much better constructed and don't leave you wishing you could get time invested back.
