So to start this small revieuw I have to say that Amnesia is finally back!!

PROS
-The athmospere and sound are so much better then the two other games. And with sound I mean the general ambiemce of the game AND the voice acting wich they have done amazing.
-They have taken the tinderbox system of the first AMnesia and made it better with the new matches. You only have 10 max so you constantly need to ask yourself if it is worth lighting one.
-Lantern is back and consumes much more fuel/second
-Standing in the dark now adds to your FEAR meter wich will eventually screw you over
-The new monster is unique in their movement and behavior(best I have ever seen)

CONS
-If I have to be real honest, the game almost always keeps your tension high with what MIGHT happen. But in the end you dont really have a lot of encounters with the monster maybe about 4 times and one is scripted. And the last encounter was not really all that scary, you just didnt have to wake it up and you did it...
In Amnesia: The Dark Decent he was always lurking somewhere wich was nervebreaking. I really missed that in this game, I expected more in that area.
-SPOILER STORY!!!!-
I thought the story was a bit wacky. Like it started amazing in the desert with a deserted war fort as a ffing perfect environment, really beautifull and outright creepy. Aaaand then we are in an alien metal alternate world fueled with pain and fear and these GOD like creators? It went a bit to far and it threw me of for really getting into the story.

--Empathy driven story-- Amesia: The Dark Descent made you experience the total fear of the dark whilst intoducing the players to the helplessness of losing your memory. Soma had a very deep psychological and filosophical driven story that made you question the boundries between biological and artificial life itself. Aaaand Amnesia: Rebirth is about a mother losing a child and having to chose to loose a second one. That is kinda boring and somewhat overdone in way to many movies/series. Unless you are a woman or man who have lost a child I dont see why this would be a memorable story. Like when you found out that Tasi is pregnant it took me by surprise but I didnt really care. At the end of the game I still didnt care one bit for the now born child.

Still I truly recommend this, it is an amazing journey!!!
