The tutorial was cut short which leaves you wondering on what to do next. The UI is pretty overwhelming at first but I figured it out as I played the original darkorbit from 2006-2012. It needs more polishing in my opinion.

One of the most underrated and underappreciated RPG games I've ever played. This game is one of Bioware's gems of the past. It's a mixture of action and a RPG game.

Story: 9/10 (Good story, a lot of twists and turns. Side quests are fun to do.)

Combat: 9/10 (Considering that the game came out in 2005, the combat is very fun with a variety of combat techniques at your disposal. I didn't like the mini-games within the game, but you can skip most of them.)

Graphics: 8/10 (Beautiful world. The graphics aren't anything special but for it's time it's pretty decent.)

Soundtrack: 9/10 (Loved the soundtrack within the game. It added great immersion to my gaming experience.)

Recommend? Most definite. If you've played the other great gems of Bioware of Old then you must play Jade Empire it's a must.

So I just finished playing Dragon Age Orgin's last week so I thought I'll start playing this one. I heard about the bad reviews for this game but kept an open mind when playing it. All I can say is if you're expecting the same experience with DA2 like you did with DAO you'll be left thoroughly disappointed.

Story: 7/10 (Really short compared to DAO, I finished the story within 24 hours of gameplay. Most of the time you're walking from location to location just to speak to someone for a quest, so walking around took up much of the time. I did enjoy the storytelling throughout the game though)

Combat: 7/10 (The combat is more fluid and appealing however there's a lack of variety of spells/abilities that you can use. You can't zoom out completely like in DAO so you're unable to properly use tactics when playing.)

Graphics: 6/10 (Nothing special. Lacks world building. Everything looks the same. Most caves/areas are recycled. I didn't feel immersed at all.)

Soundtrack: 7/10 (It's decent but wasn't enough to immerse me in the world.)

Recommend? If you played DAO first and want to see what your actions in DAO lead to than I would recommend playing DA2. However, if you're looking to try Dragon Age for the first time, I would recommend starting with DAO first before anything. Nevertheless, I did enjoy the story in this game and how your companions react to everything you say. It's hard to keep everyone happy as it's more realistic.

If you're a big fan of KOTOR (Knights of the Old Republic), Jade Empire or Mass Effect. I highly recommend playing Dragon Age: Orgins, it's a must. I recently started playing 2 weeks ago for the first time as I'm a fan of the games listed above and always heard great things about Dragon Age Orgin's so I thought I would give it a try. Be warned, once you start playing you'll never stop. I ended up playing a 6 hour session once without realising it.

Story: 8/10 (Cliche but nevertheless the story is interesting)

Combat: 7/10 (The combat is like an old school MMO. Has a huge variety of different spells/abilities for each character so it makes it fun. Requires strategy when playing on harder difficulties)

Graphics: 7/10 (Although the game is 10-11 years old now. It's aged pretty well. The world is beautiful)

Soundtrack: 10/10 (One of the best soundtracks I've ever heard in a game)

Recommend? Most definite

The game requires Windows 10 to play. So if you don't have it like me, you'll be very disappointed as the game won't start without it.
