The game wears its inspiration on its sleeve, and is making a fair attempt to grow from it. The life, victory condition, and
resource system are all one, which creates an interesting balance.

However in its current state the game is a half-built foundation, lacking some core polish of mechanics and diversity.
Such as:
Enemy specific cards are available for the player to take, despite them doing next to nothing on the player's side.
Resource generation become all the more important, elevating the basic seed unit as some of the best to invest in.
The game's only current progression being an endless mode to see how far you get without ending variations.
Turn order being somewhat obscure, and you become uncertain what order events happen in during gameplay.

There is a game here, especially if one ironed out the mechanical coherency. Later on some further development of the story elements would also be appreciated. The way to see the cards coming being merely a "Ancient artifact" struck me as a bit bland given the context of the narrative.

I am taking the time to criticize it because I want it to succeed. Great things can be in Cheesequest's future. But right now, all we have is a plate of milk and a dream.

A revolutionary take on Snake, the classic mobile game.

The creativity on display in design and execution is magnificent. Lets ride through hell and throw self made overpowered combos at angels until we reignite the pyre.

They Bleed Pixels going through its The Prestige phase. A rewarding experience with smooth motions.
Though at the moment half the challenge is against the game's own slow-down.
But that's a fun challenge in itself.
10/10 would play this again with my 10 clones.

Trapped in an escape room with a deranged card game fanatic.
And I would rather not escape.

Always had hopes for this game, thought it was a lovely sea, a wide open playground, yet lacking story or goals.
Then, story and goals were added. Magnificent game.
Tis truly the pirate life we hoped for.

A series of: they wouldn't let you use that as a weapon.

Bloodied, staring down a bore as lightning strikes above...
Crawling on the ground from venom spreading...
Managing to cook tea at the moment before rain douses your fire...
A chilling and engaging experience of skill and scavenge.

The story is quite amusing when you sit down and read it.
