I've been getting a lot of strange messages recently from random people as well as people from my friends group. All of these are con artists trying to steal my steam credentials. Quick recap what's been tried on me for couple of days
- log in on some outside page with your steam account to vote for "my friend" CS:GO team. Example text from already hacked friend
can you vote for the team of my friends in the PGLPRO tournament please?
need 6 votes more
can you do it now please? just the voting section is gonna be closed in less than 1 hour, all what u need to do is just to sign in as steam and press VOTE for my team
Don't do that, it'll steal your account name and password, will probably also cleap up your inventory.
- someone reported my account for stealing their item and now I'm in trouble unless I contact mod through Discord
I posted an item on the market and someone bought it and I haven't received my money worth $1,472.16 from the buyer.
He has the same picture and name of your steam profile, and I am unsure if s/he was just impersonating your account.
So, I mistakenly reported your account for doing illegal purchase rather than the impostor.
I am just worried since i just received this email recently, they said that your account will be banned if we won't cooperate with them and i don't want that to happen.

I've reported it and I have been informed that your account will be banned if you will not cooperate with this matter. I don't want this to happen but there's nothing I can do aside from your cooperation.
After that they'll tell you to contact someone on discord that is, allegedly, mod on Steam. Don't do that, guy is impersonating someone important and will, without a doubt, ask you to give him your account credentials or convince you to give him random item from inventory.
-the same as above, but they'll try to convince you some random dude on steam is a mod.
