I love Slay the spire. You can check my hours and see just how much I love the spire. I really enjoyed crafting decks in fractions of seconds and just destroying runs on there. I thought that this was the best.

I was wrong. Slay the spire is amazing. I'm sure it will continue to be amazing, with mods, new characters, dlc and who knows what. I will still play it.

Monster Train is an improvement upon the formula. Of course there are similarities. Things you learne din slay the spire will bring you here.

Of course this game is far more than slay the spire. You have more to worry about. More ways to worry about your builds. But your ways of playing through Ascensions, or Covenants, is not focused on one "character".

You have clans. A primary one, and a secondary one. Whatever you choose as the primary gives you their champion. And some spells. The secondary just gives you some spells. As you progress, you can add from either's groupings of cards.

There are only 5 right now, but it is more than enough. Plenty to unlock, plenty to explore, and of course plenty to play.

Say goodbye to your afternoon, your evening, and your night. This is not an easy game. But it is a fun one.

There are a lot of games out there. Thousands of them. I'm sure we've all played dozens, hundreds, perhaps even thousands. Some games fill out niche categories, and others are more broad. There aren't many genre defying games out there. Those that attract people from all their little corners of gaming to enjoy one together.

I'm not sure if this is one of those genre defying games. I know people that prefer combat to the 9th degree might not enjoy it, but I think people outside of that choice might just love it. A truly interesting detective story with many side quests that feel like made quests. Characters that are intriguing and worth caring about. You can be plenty of things ranging from a trashcan fire to a -very- good detective. But only if you can survive your hangover.

For anyone that doesn't find themselves in one single niche of gaming, for someone that enjoys games for being games, I think you might find yourself in a very fun experience. Where failing something isn't always bad. In fact, failing in here can be good, and even success can steer you the wrong way.

Do not worry about save scumming. For me, this is game of the year. I don't think I'll ever regret buying it and playing it. There is talk of an expansion, from a female perspective this time, as well as a sequel. In all honesty, this could have been the first and last game in this style, and I'd still be perfectly pleased with it.

Buy the game. Download. Load it up. Sit back and enjoy.

The only cons I could find with it, is sometimes the sound design was -too- good, i.e. it would get too intense, too loud even at times. Even if the scene in question had things a s too loud. Though the voice acting is amazing.

Just sit back and enjoy.

I just finished a play through of this game today. On normal difficulty. Or rather "Viking" difficulty. I must say it was one of the most terrifying games I've played. The sound design alone is on point. Every little noise will tear at your sanity of what is there and what isn't. There is death in the darkness. The 'vision' you unlock was annoying at first, but they patched the annoying part of it. I haven't played the devs' first game yet, but I expect it to be just as fun. There is only one annoying part in the game where you're in complete darkness dealing with.. stuff. No spoilers for that part.

Highly recommend the game if you enjoy horror games. The futuristic norse story though is also pretty badass.

Solid game. Maybe a bit slower than Diablo, but I'd say fairly entertaining. More interesting things to do. And if you're a fan of horror, things get pretty crazy on that front.

I got this on sale, just because I don't have much disposable income, but had always been interested in it since I watched a play through of Gone home. Generally I put price up there with how much time I spend on it. So games with a ton of replay value are generally worth more in my eyes. And this was just a walking simulator. Albeit, one I had interest in.

If I had the disposable income, I would definitely say this would be worth the full price, but if you can get it on sale. Do it.

I was having a night of very bad thoughts, depression, and things of that sort. Mind going to dark places and all. And I figured, hey. Lets get lost in someone else's world and listen to these stories and things. I know it will be like a longer movie but I figured why not.

I feel much better now. That might be a spoiler but it was definitely a good 2.2 hours. You care for the characters. And you wonder what all happened. I'd say that as a game, this was a damn good one. Would not trade away that tiny bit of time.

I've never written a review before, but then I played and beat the Forest.

I have to say beyond a shadow of a doubt it was the most fun I've had in a survival game with other people. It runs very well, very few glitches, and the gameplay is fantastic.

The story is also surprisingly good. I can't say anything else about the story though without spoiling it. Just play the game. Totally worth the time.

The game is fun. While people will argue that the "Release date DLC" makes the game unfair, should actually look at said DLC. Which is cosmetic only. So. Really people should care about that. Who cares right? Also the hunters and monsters aren't going to be coming that often anyhow, especially if all five are released as a set. They -said- that it takes 8 to 10 months to make a monster. ANd I dont' know about you, but I'm a poor ass guy, and 10 bucks every 8-10 months isn't much at all.

The game itself is fun. It isn't exactly left 4 dead 2, and people saying that obviously haven't played both games, or are just looking for the game to do terrible. The game is in fact two games, as hunter play vastly differs from monster play.

The price tag is a bit much, but hey. Steam summer sale is in a few months, and I'm still going to be playing it then. So. I'm sure there will be a sale, so at least join up then!
