While this shares a lot of DNA with the first game, it really is it's own beast. The puzzle mechanics are more interesting and varied. There's a lot of philisophical banter and many NPCs to interact with. I preferred the storytelling and worldbuilding from the OG - there's nothing quite like the feeling you get when you piece together what the hell is going on there but this iteration still gets a hearty recommendation because the puzzles are great and the QOL improvements feel good.

Like nothing else I've ever played. Incredible writing and such a surreal fever dream of a vibe. One of the rare single player games that deserves a second playthrough!

I was already struggling to enjoy this and then I hit a game-breaking bug that soft-locked my progress. I know I could use a saved-game provided by the publisher to unlock myself, but the game has already lost me and I would rather just delete it and move on. Unable to run in full-screen at all. Main character is unlikable and moves slower than a snail. Puzzles are illogical. At least the art is nice. Hard pass from me- does not live up to other point and clicks from the publisher.

Besides the graphics, they somehow managed to make the classic worse. Interloper is far too long and completely unstable. Difficulty balance is completely broken. Regret purchasing this.

The difficulty is sadistic, even after they nerfed it. Stick with the main campaign and TAG2

Superb visuals and music. Gameplay and combat was just plain bad. Sloppy and un-intuitive controls. Horrible difficulty spikes. Like seriously, this goes from mind-numbingly easy to tear your hair out difficult and back again over and over again. Could use another setting that just disables the combat completely and turns this into a zen experience with some light puzzles.

Endless fun with mates that tests your skill, not your grinding patience and rewards you with sick beards instead of slightly increased damage values.

The bosses are way too hard to be enjoyable. I'm a busy guy, I have limited time to play games, I would have really appreciated a way to make those bosses a bit easier so that I could get on with the rest of the game, which I was really enjoying. It does your 'hardcore' types no harm to include a difficulty setting. Using the keyboard and mouse, I never really felt like I was fully in control of the character - definitely requires a controller.
