Superb stuff. Visually arresting, along with multiple unanticipated twists and turns in the lore and plot.

The bosses are harder than hell. I would say that Fromsoftware's formula that originated in Demon's Souls is starting to reach its limits. Shadow of the Erdtree probably serves as a send-off to that system, as I can't imagine them pushing its restrictions any further without producing bosses that are not even remotely enjoyable to face off against. It's clear with the final boss that they were really wracking their brains with devilish new ways to confound and challenge players, and I think they may have gone a wee bit too far.

All the same, I think much of the player base plays these games for the insane bosses, and I enjoyed them. 10/10 for me.

Spectacular. A true sequel to DS1 and evolution of the series.
