tldr: worth the money, ignore IGN's biased reviews and buy it.

Terminator Resistance is a surprisingly well crafted game for being only $39.99 at launch (with frequent sales). One of the better shooters of the last few years. Definitely not at the same level of polish as Doom Eternal but the devs were likely working at budget that's several times smaller. With the latest patch, I really cant find much to complain about anymore with performance or balancing.

Pros:
1. Thoughtfully developed story line that ties very well with the original movies.
2. Decent explosion effects and accurate weapons sounds when compared to the movies.
3. Well written characters, some of who you will actually begin to really connect with by the end.
4. Can bang both, your commander and your friend and still get the good ending
5. Fallout like survival mechanics with some useful item crafting.
6. Decently long game, around 9-10 hours if played to get all side missions and secrets
7. Can easily get a perfect game with all achievements in a single play through.
8. Stealth mechanics dont feel forced but are your best friend early on.
9. Variety of character level up options.

Cons:
1. Lock picking mechanic needs work especially the harder ones
2. Once you get the purple plasma, the difficulty becomes trivial, can be both a pro and a con tbh.
3. Graphics look 3-4 years old, decent fire effects but not the shiniest looking.
4. Stealth detection can be hit or miss, especially with the advanced terminators.
5. Slow to get going, first 2-3 hours can be a but sluggish.
