Not enough variation in the maps or game play for me. When I compare this to something like FTL it becomes clear this is a mediocre game at best.
Forced to play all classes as progression is tied to each class.
Many skills and spells do not work correctly.
The only pixel art game i have played that gives me really bad eye strain/ fatigue and a headache if I play for more than an hour.

Starts out great with slower more tactical combat and amazing boss fights, but by end game it is just POE 1 zooming through maps killing everything instantly with massive aoe damage.

If you wanted more POE you will probably like it. If you were looking for something different you will be disappointed.

Not designed for solo play. You get two AI companions when you play solo and they are nearly useless. The "defend the antennas " mission fairly early in the main story is a huge pain on veteran difficulty and basically requires you to be in two places at one time. I'm sure its a breeze with other payers joining you but not fun solo at all.

Also, for a heavily armored super human you feel really squishy in this game. You have to spam dodge or use cover or else ranged enemies melt you in seconds.

Also, no ultrawide support in 2024 is a total joke. I requested a refund but if i had friends to play with I bet i would have enjoyed it

If I knew the PSN account would eventually be required I would not have purchased the game.

also, recent changes to spawn mechanics and weapon balance make the game significantly less fun for me. combine that with nothing fun to grind for and I'm leaving this review negative and the game uninstalled.

does not work with dual sense controller. tried enabling steam input, disabling it. wired usb connection. nothing works. refunded

Runs like garbage on a 7800x3d and 4090. It also looks really dated.

Not as good as the first game, but hopefully they add more to it like they did the first. Overall it is fun but it can get stale. Currently has no replay value.

Add Mystic Knight and the dozens of magic spells that were not included from the first game. Then give us hard mode, speed run mode, and an end game gear grind.

Go in with an open mind. Be humble, read stuff, learn, experiment. Adapt and adjust your gameplay to THIS game. Don't ask for the game to be changed for you. Being good at other souls games does not mean you will instantly be good at this one.

The best souls game I have ever played. Absolutely insane that it has mixed reviews.

Playing this mediocre game for over 200 hours is not something that I am proud of.
