This is a good game for franchise newcomers although, if like me, you've been playing the first one (which i RECOMMEND), you'll find it really bland.

What personally i REALLY miss in the game (and were present in the first game):
- Days/nights cycles which impact the gameplay (cause minions will tend to sleep at night while eating in day time to regain their stats)
- 5 stats with a REAL impact on how the character is acting (low endurance to force sleep, low attention to get in traps more easily, etc.)
- configurable traps based on sensors AND traps
- NPCs looks based on their faction (and EVEN for tourists)
- interrogation of prisoners on many different "tools" with different results (like killing them, stunning them, putting them to sleep, etc.)
- DIFFERENT kind of prisons
- TRAINING of minions DO REQUIRE an existing minion of that class, resulting in taking care that you always have at least one of them (and had to RECAPTURE an NPC of that class on the world map if you lost your last one)
- Sending different minions on the world map had DIFFERENT results (scientists are best to sniff around, deception minions are best to lower the heat, etc.) making it a lot more tactical
- you had to STEAL many different devices for your scientific to research advanced things on them and faction thieves were ALSO looking for those things to steal and bring back home
- to a lesser note, i find the music in the first one better too, something about a mix of Hostin Powers and James Bond is more appealing to me

Nah, really the GOOD things about that Evil Genius 2, to me are :
- Graphics are cool and enjoyable
- MULTI LEVEL base (FINALLY !)

But every other things is WAY too much simplified to my taste and the GRIND, i mean, the GRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNND !!! OMG i've never seen a game that requires you to advance so much in the main story to be able to dig through those nasty level and extend your base a bit....
