Early Access-recension
This game has the potential to be a Minecraft killer, if it plays it's cards right.

It is still early in development, so I reserve my criticisms.

I love the game so far and enjoy the development put forth. They're still laying the foundation to this game, but what I'm seeing so far is very encouraging.

[What I'm hoping to see when the time is right...]

Once the core foundation of the game is complete, I would like to see the game or an available option for the game, for adventure and exploration. Meaning, I would like to be digging and discover bones, or ancient architectural artifacts, pyramids, obelisks, etc.
It would be cool to collect bones and if you have enough of the same type of animal, you could reconstruct a skeleton. Or find various artifacts that you can combine together to solve puzzles.

This may not be the direction they want to go.

I hope there is a mod for this theme though.

I dont know about tribes. There are supposed to come certain human NPCs to watch out for such as thieves and "angry lumberjacks" , and possibly pirates as well. I'm sure in the next month or so we will get a better idea of what the plan is.

OHH! NPC characters and villages?! Sweet. I did think of that before too... like a various tribes... some you can trust... some you can't... perhaps build/earn the trust....

Sounds like this is going to be really fun in the next few months.

Yeah... Quie a few of us see it as a "minecraft killer" as well. we're just waiting to see how things go. I'm no sure about the collecting of bones to re-create skeleltons but that sounds like an interesting mod possibility. There is a mod for Minecraft that allows you to essentially play Jurrassic Park in the game. amber can be randomly discovered when mining as well as dino bones.

The coolthing about Rising World is that the developer wants to make RW modder friendly. A new Java API is in the works that will replace lua scripting as well as provide modders the abiltiy to add onto the game's fetures, import new models, etc.

Dungeons are planned for the game and are probably going to be implemented within the next few months. Other stuff like old pyramids and such would be interesting too. I'm not sure exactly what Red is planning but NPC characters and villages and temples are planned as well. This is going to be a very interesting year for this game. :)
