Can't go wrong, especially for the price. If you enjoy the visuals just go for it, it's as an intense of an experience as it looks!

Super cool concept and world, crazy visuals and solid gameplay. Biggest standout here to me (aside from the gorgeous visuals) is the enemy behaviour which in any other cheap Roguelike can easily be manipulated and funneled through the narrow paths safely, but in this game they seem to stay close to walls and don't immediately rush through doors or try to establish line of sight as soon as they aggro on the player if they're ranged. The enemies can be patient and sometimes tricky to deal with, which is very refreshing.

The only thing I can mention as a possible gripe is that it's difficult to see items that drop from enemies but overall this is just a really solid game.

Never stopped playing the Alpha over the 6 years we've been waiting for this so I'm confident this is gonna be awesome!

Edit on release: Didn't disappoint! The game switched from an RPG centric playstyle to something more akin to Rogue-lites in its progression system and it could use some tweaks in terms of long-term character growth, but overall it stayed the solid timewaster its always been.

Definitely recommended!

Even after 400 hours it's still a blast to play through. Fantastic game, do not pass this up if you're just waiting for BL3!

Great new expansion! Addition of movement skills is very welcome and the price is very generous for the content!

Incredibly fun and rewarding. Not a long-term "unlock-o-mania" like Binding of Isaac, but still lots of combinations to try. It's strongest point is definitely the fast combat and movement, everything flows so nicely and you just feel badass.

I personally also really enjoy the graphical style. Excited to see more from the devs' minds!

I love the new weapon types and mastery but I have to agree with others that the new Act is badly structured on a level-to-level basis. Found myself being lost a couple of times, it's missing the clever passively streamlined design of the original (though this was also already kind of a problem in Immortal Throne). Definitely still a recommendation from me.


P.S: Frick those whack-a-mole water spirits to heck and back. If I wrote this review without taking a little break from the game first to calm down it probably wouldn't be positive because of them lol

Haven't devoted that much time to it yet, but seems pretty good.

Edit: After spending some more time I can confirm that it's a pretty good game
