To be honest, I am massively underwhelmed by this game as it pretends to be a successor to the awesome Quidditch World Cup game from 2003 which I've replayed many times. This game has been released with 4-5 arenas in total which begs the question what were they working on for so long? The gameplay is fun for a little bit but it gets boring as every single player and team are just cookie cutter re-skins. There's no combo passing, no combo team moves, no cultural references to any of the World Cup teams apart from audio samples of different accents. You can pick any World Cup team based on colors essentially because they're all the damn same, they have no Home court. In my opinion, that would have been the bare minimum to release with the game. There's currently not enough in the game to keep you playing the game past 3-4 days. You can unlock and upgrade everything within a week of casual play, even the things you will never use or want. What's the point of this game?

Pretty cool game. Easy to grasp and lots of progression and unlocks. I wouldn't say it's pay to play either. You can freely earn stuff to put up a good fight.

Lots of fun. There's a progression and upgrade system which offers quite a lot of replayability. Also couch co-op. For something even more advanced than this I'd look at X-Morph Defense.

Early Access Review
Awesome game but I do have some constructive feedback that I have no idea where to write but here.

1. There is no easy way to tell when a foe has been killed or just downed. This annoys me as I move away from an enemy that I think I killed (eg. the King of Dust) and the camera moves with me, only to find that the other enemies start getting healed again because the motherf****ing King isn't dead yet. This has happened on several occasions in similar situations.

2. The combat can easily be improved with things such as hold down mouse button for heavy/charged hits for example. Maybe once you reach a certain amount of combo be able to do a flashy animation finisher on 1 enemy at the expense of all your combo so far.

3. I feel that the HUD can be a bit more intuitive. At the moment I have to take my eyes off the main action to look if my Artifact or Weapon effect has charged. There could be visual cues and such to indicate when they are ready. Also, maybe have some option to show the enemy health somewhere?

I feel the game has lots of refinements to make but it is going on the right track for sure. Please do no over do it with effects and such as it can ruin the experience. Eg. before the 1.2 update there wasn't all these flashy white lights and smoke when your gear pops up from the cards. I feel as if that is a slight step back.

Really awesome game, Can never get tired of playing it as there's so many achievements to go through, each unlocking more and more content to play with and help you raise your civilizations differently. Love it! Infinite replayability, therefore great value!
