This is the best WWII RTS I have ever played

This is a fantastic game. Most of the negative reviews are from veteran players that can't adapt to having Aircraft Carriers in the game. They are a fair part of the game and are indeed strong, just like they were in real life. The only change I would make is to have some of the damage caused by aircraft carriers be a percent health based - making the damage for all aircraft damage more effective against battleships and less effective against destroyers.

For anyone new to the game, you will really enjoy playing this game. Once you learn the basics of each ship class, Destroyer, Cruiser, Battleship and Aircraft Carrier, you'll enjoying playing as each of them and against each of them. Each nationality has respective strengths and weakness when it comes to gun size, ship speed, ship armor, etc. and it makes for a surprising intricate game.

Do take the time to learn about the game mechanics if you like the game. Angling, overmatching, dynamic sights, are all important things you can learn about from any of the great YouTubers that make helpful content for the game.

The game is to a large extent truly free to play. There are some ships and cosmetics that are only available if you pay for them, but any player can grind ships just as strong and powerful as ones people pay $$ for.
