This may be one of the best multi-player games of it's kind in the past decade and I'm so glad Sony reverted their decision.

FOR DEMOCRACY AND SWEET LIBERTY!

I believe this is the first review I've ever made for a game, good or bad, fun or boring. Each game has it's purpose for me and I replay all the ones I genuinely had fun with from Duke 3D to Jedi Outcast to the newest AAA titles that I finished last week.

I will not be replaying this game.

I don't mind the bugs, I don't mind having to restart the conversation with an NPC because I was interrupted by the 5th cougar in 5 minutes. I dont even mind the long, drawn out dialogue that repeats itself 18 times before it gets to the point. What I do mind are absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ endings that make no sense, even when looking through a nihlistic perspective. (ME3's ending really didn't bother me too much).

This game has one of the lasiest endings that *tries* to be good. If you like endings and if you enjoy a good story, then do not buy this game. If you're on the fence, please read through the spoilers and let me change your mind so I save you the money or even the disk space.

Spoilers:
You finish off his lieutenants, enter the last little bit, wanting to just blow him straight to hell in a clash that would make his God sit down and watch in anticipation. Instead, you have a choice to either apprehend Joseph Seed for terrorism, murder, torture, brainwashing, and wearing a manbun or you can let him go. But why let him go? You destroyed his cult, you made sure your people are safe and you can end this right here right now. So I went for the "good ending" where you fight Seed and your Allies (because SOMEHOW they were all captured and under the influence of the drug "Bliss," except for the Sheriff and the two deputies you arrived in Hope County with, who are just captured). You arrest Seed and rescue your allies and he starts talking about something from Revalations and that when everything goes nuclear, literally. You attempt to escape the nuclear fire by driving to Dutch's bunker, but, with the MAGIC of storytelling you and Joseph survive a car wreck that kills everyone else. You're then brought to the bunker by Seed and he chains you to a bed and starts talking (at length) about how you were wrong, he was right, and how you're his family now, all while staring at Dutch's corpse. Credits. Turns out the radios were going on about how North Korea was getting ready for nuclear war. I have no idea what North Korea has to do with the sleepy county of Hope, but whatever. Sure it's a total cop-out but I could replay it if he was actually wrong about the end of the world and if you did let him go, ♥♥♥♥ would still go down. Except NOPE. In the "bad ending" you let him go, one of the other deputies is like "The ♥♥♥♥?!?" the other is "sure, lets gtfo" and the sheriff (Your BOSS!!) just says "it is what it is." You jump in the car, expecting to escape the nuclear hell fire only to have the sheriff turn the radio on to a song that makes you go ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ from conditioning (I'm not making this up) and presumably kill your people. No nuclear war, no good ending, not even a decently written nihlistic ending. Almost like how you'd save the princess, but you dont get to become king when her dad dies. You get friendzoned.

This game would have been 1000x better if, say, the cult poisoned the water supply and set up dirty bombs filled with their mind-altering drug all over the nation. If you arrest him, his cells hear and they go off. Your other decision would be to kill him (murder at this point, since he's unarmed), no bombs go off, the water supply isn't poisoned and you go to prison for the murder of Joseph seed. That would be a nihlistic ending I would have loved to see, even with the rest of the writing being terrible. [/spoilers]

TL;DR, don't buy this game, it's hot garbage and has a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cop-out ending that you should read above in the spoilers if you didn't hear me the first two times: Don't buy this game.
