It's a decent campaign but there's some kind of out of bounds bug that keeps me from being able to finish it.

Great game! Love the turn-based combat. Gives me XCom vibes.

It's one of the best co-op games I've ever played. The gameplay is great, it's so much fun to mow down bugs/cyborgs with tons of different weapons. I love that the ammo mechanic is magazine based. Which means, if you reload with some ammo left in the magazine you discard, that ammo is lost. Just like in the good Battlefield games. It helps with the immersion of being a soldier on this hostile planet surrounded by enemies. There are loads of vehicles, airstrikes, drones, turrets and more, that you can call in, adding to the fun.

I think there are only 2 flaws to the game. On higher difficulties, tank units spawn very often, so you're kinda forced to bring lots of anti-tank equipment. This essentially limits the loadout variations drastically. If you play on high difficulties all the time, the only thing you can really change are your main weapons, because most of your equipment will stay the same to deal with the constant tanks.

The second flaw is the online-only campaign. The campaign being online and all players adding to the progress, makes you not very invested in it. The contribution you deliver is basically nothing in the grand scheme of things and often campaigns are won and lost with little to no of your involvement. The game may as well not even have a campaign because it never feels like you contributed anything to it.

Despite those flaws, the game is still great and you should buy it now!

I'm an hour in and I'm too bored to continue. Why do people like this game?

The campaign is pretty decent but not as good as og mw2. While the gameplay and characters are great, the level design isn't always that good and the story is worthless. There aren't any moments in the story that will stick with you and the inevitable Shepherd/shadow company betrayal felt half assed.

Alejandro Vargas is a great new character and is definitely the most memorable. I don't really like what they did with Ghost, he just feels like a more annoying version of Price and I don't like his new mask and the fact that he always has to wear it. Even when our characters are hanging out at a bar. It feels like they gave him the Boba Fett treatment (which I hate).

The story is pretty boring and I never felt invested in any of the things that were going on. There are no real stakes, and none of our characters die, even minor ones. It's very disappointing especially since MW reboot's campaign was excellent in my opinion.

The Multiplayer is your standard cod multiplayer, nothing really special there but at least it plays well. Ground war has changed drastically since the days of og MW2 and is now kinda like a bad version of Battlefield's conquest. Air vehicle handling is still the same as it was in Black Ops 1, in other words, really awful.

Overal, MW II is a decent game but it's inferior to its 2009 counterpart and even Battlefield 2042. At least in BF 2042 you're part of a team and the air vehicles don't handle like a shopping cart with 4 broken wheels.

Not sure why people dislike this game. The gameplay is great and the world is pretty fun. Sure, the story is pretty basic and stupid. But the story is just a framework to hang the gameplay on. It's literally the least important aspect of a game. I read reviews about a game breaking bug but I didn't encounter anything like that, so overall I had a pretty great experience.

Maybe I'm somehow missing about half of what this game has to offer but the game feels so simplistic that it couldn't even keep my interest for 20 hours.

I really like this new chapter up until you reach Asgard. Everything after that is a huge slog and the setting isn't that interesting anymore. I do recommend it though because it adds a bunch of new cool sh*t and most of the campain is good.
