There are a limited number of enemies to learn the tactics of, but randomness in skills and rooms may force you to change those tactics.
Also, progression through unlocking new characters or items gives more interest for later play-throughs.
If you like magic and wizzrdry, this is a great game for you. It definitely needs many games played, as most of the unlockables require this, but you will enjoy each time.
