I grew up in the Zone. And it has a place deep in my heart.
But the further I get into the game the more problems I run into. I'm only a Stalker, I can do wonders and survive the impossible. But I guess a bunker door to the Professor on Wild Island is where my journey stops for now.

I'll direct these next words straight to GCS Game World.

I played on Veteran off the bat. And making mutants into insane bullet sponges is straight up lazy game design. They don't get staggered either. We can't even run and reload like we used to. I'v been playing Anomaly/Gamma for thousands of hours. And you fellas should really play it and not just take a page. But half the damn book. Anomaly/Gamma is where your fans and community has been thriving for all these years. A lot of the mechanics/balance there is what many expect. And is recognized as the Stalker way. It just works.

Lets not beat around the bush. A-Life 2.0 is not in this game. At all. It's 100% scripted events. It's not all bad though. Most of them are wonderful. But the world feels more like Fallout 4 and that is not a game you wanna be compared to.
I understand living up to the standards of the first game, with todays way of making AAA is near an impossible feat.
However I am confident you guys are working hard on adding it. But I just don't see how A-Life 2.0 and this much scripted events could ever live together in the Zone.

I will be back, there is so many great things going on in this game. And I have been having a good time too.

I am hoping to change this to a positive review in the future. But for now, keep fighting.

Fantastic Early access. Very interesting ideas and themes.
Everyone said "This looks like a Gearbox game".
Then Gearbox threw a hunting knife into a tree and made We Happy Few squeal like a piggy
Sad 3/10.

Can only hear Fares Fares voice(and Swedish accent). Borderline racist to just add a Fonzie cut and some side burns to an Arab. Then pass him off as Italian.

Pretty good time though. 7/10
