Just a wonderful game overall, can't believe I hadn't dropped this here sooner. Even if you don't think this would be your kind of game, give it a chance and try it. I certainly didn't see myself liking it, but the atmosphere drew me in and everything was just.... perfect. The vibes, the gameplay, soundscape, all perfectly crafted and addictive. One-of-a-kind game right here, that introduces some psychological elements as you progress through the game and turns into a sort of ARG (alternate reality game) later on, which I'm not really gonna explain too much as I don't wanna spoil it too much. There's a lot of variation and fresh introductions into the gameplay loop through some of the various boss battles and stops you make along your journey. Do yourself a favor and give it a shot, I don't think you'll regret it.

I don't know why it took me this long to write this review. After playing over 150 hours, all I can say is that you won't find another game quite like this one. There is a lot to learn in terms of the gameplay meta, and mastering as well as understanding some of the less obvious elements like for example, the aggro levels of some of the sound traps in the game (ex. Dog cages, chicken coops, crows, ducks, etc.) But it is so rewarding once you have a better grasp on these things, as it will certainly make life easier for you in many of your matches. Now for the best part, the PVP. I can honestly say that, at least within the past 5 or so years easily, I really haven't played another game with PVP combat as addictive as what you will find in this game. The variety of weapons, their respective variants, the tools and consumables you can choose from, the traits (Perks, basically) that you can assign to your hunters, it all changes the approach you might find yourself having to take towards encounters with other players. The satisfaction you get from winning a hard-fought battle with another group, or even multiple which is an extremely common occurrence, is unmatched. The PVP is what keeps me coming back to this game, and while first and foremost me and my group will go for bounties, if we know another group is very close by, we'll go for that group 9 times out of 10. This is simply because in time, you'll basically want to PVP over anything else mostly just because it is so enjoyable. Anyways, I highly recommend this game if you are looking for a game with strong and challenging PVP elements with a sprinkle of PVE added in to shake things up. Amazing game 10/10.

This game has a lot of potential. It does what it sets out to do, which is portray an authentic civil war experience, with historically accurate Union and Confederate divisions and units each with their own unique appearance. The only problem at this time is that the playerbase seems quite small, although a very dedicated one at that, with many clans and servers hosting regular practice sessions, if you're into that kind of thing. I can only hope that the developer makes enough progress with additional content and gameplay features to reinvigorate people's interest in this great game.

Pretty good game, if you like squad you'll like this one.
