Viking Conquest provides a much-needed breath of fresh air to an old favorite. The addition of naval warfare adds another dimension that adds significantly to the adventurous feel of the game, and makes raiding that much more fun. Admittedly I haven't progressed very far in the campaign yet, but one annoying thing that i've noticed is that once you attack a monastery or two, your relation with all Christian kingdoms (basically everyone except denmark) decreases by -1 every few days. it doesn't take long until the entirety of britain hates you. I think it would be better if your relation went down only in the kingdoms whose monasteries were attacked. it doesn't quite make sense for me to attack a monastery in northumbria, and suddenly the Irish lords hate my guts.

Anyway, I've thoroughly enjoyed this game so far. for $15, it's not a bad buy.

Improves on an already-enjoyable game, "Airland Battle" brings new tactical considerations into the battle with scores of new aircraft for both sides, as well as improvements to game mechanics. I would recommend this to anyone who loves the Cold War era and/or good strategy games.
