Hello friends. I just beaten Chrono Trigger for the first time on steam. I actually own this game on Super Nintendo/ Super Famicon. Since i don't own the ds version , but i do know about the movies since i own the ps1 version also. I was a little suprised with a couple things, but i will leave that to the players to find. So without further adu, here is my pro an con list:

PROs:

- Classic game play that was first released on Super Nintendo/ Famicon.
- Old style graphics
- Great storyline
- Time traveling to different era's.
- Changing time to change events.
- Works on windows 11 OS.

CONs:

- The game sufferes from some slowdown. Although it did not effect me much, i did notice a little bit in my game during some cutscenes.
- This style of rpg might not be everyone's favorite type. Just as Ys uses the BUMP system, this game uses ATB, or Active Time Battle, which means the enemies attack all the time while you decide what to attack and move. You can set it to WAIT mode in settings, which i RECOMMEND for NEW PLAYERS.
- The colours are a bit weird. There are two settings for the game. I used one of them, and the color scheme is different. I did not like the new colour scheme, but you can change it again in settings
-The weird place the quit button is in settings. I wish they would of put it on the menu, but meh..that was their choice to put it under settings.


Personally, i recommend it for great rpg play and a good storyline. Be aware your experience with the game may differ than mine because it may slowdown for your pc, or other issues may occur. Happy Gaming!


Note: This is after all the updates. I never played it before the fixes and updates, so this review is based on all the updates, and reviewed on 8/25/2018. Also, even thought i am biased and like this game alot, this review is unbiased.
